Podcast 2: Dual Wielding

I figured it would be easier to plan this way.

So I think that Magus and Xantar are doing a solid job with Nerds on the Rocks, and really just looking for a 3rd and/or 4th voice to add to that cast to give it its identity so I wanted to move on to my next idea.

Which is a more gaming focused podcast. I've done some legwork on it already,

As of right now it would feature
Uber_Paddler, SoccerAnt, Default and Carnage17.

Would be similar to Nerds on the Rocks in break up of formats, but would deal with more topical ideas.

Would have Whatcha Been Playing segment, From The Hips, would be a rant/news discussion segment and Shoot Out, which would be the hosts trying to stump the others with random video games factoids and trivia question.

Anyhow, just putting it out there so easier for them to plan with me out most of this weekend.

First reaction: I'm not going to stop you from doing whatever you want to do, but I don't think you have the resources to do a another podcast out of this forum. And besides, it doesn't seem very differentiated from Nerds on the Rocks to me which also will talk about games from time to time.

Good luck with it. But right now I don't really see the reason for its existence.

On paper, I agree with you completely, but I figured its worth giving a shot.

And I figured that Nerds covers such a broad spectrum of topics that this would intersect in such a tiny manner.

Probably should have waited until I had more time to get the ball rolling on this, but as it stands now

Think most parties have agreed for a trial run today at 4PM Atlantic time (Uber) and 12pm PST (Everyone else).

Since this is a feeling out episode, figured would be best to just talk about your console history. Favorite games/genres and all that fun jazz. And maybe your opinion on the current gen market. (I have a rough idea, but would be best if you all knew)

Also need to exchange Skype names and find someone to record... *Whistles*
