Someone hacked my Battle.net account

I'm a little pissed more because I have perfectly good keys that I bought for Starcraft and Diablo 2, and now they have the potential of being useless even if I have them.

Apparently my friend called me to tell me that my old toon on WoW was in Northrend and I never bought Wrath of the Lich King. So if I get my account back from Blizz I'll have (probably) a bunch of gold, and free game time. But I don't know if that's going to happen because I'm gonna be on hold with Blizz over the phone for like 45 minutes.

Are you sure it was the same character as yours and not one with an extra letter in the name or something? And did you try resetting your password and having it sent to your account? I wonder how that can happen when you are not active in the game.

I got an e-mail saying the account was reset and I tried to get back in and they had changed the e-mail.

But I got on the phone with Blizz finally. It was my same character. I had a Scroll of resurrection sent to me, so he was hacking to get his mining up for gold using my character free for 10 days.

So how do they hack your account while you're not active? How did he manage to do it?

The same thing happened to me too. I hadn't played the game for 6 months or so. :confused:

I never bothered with the issue, so after a few weeks I got the e-mail that my account has been banned for life. Goodbye Riel, lvl 60 Gnome Warlock. :baby:

At least getting everything sorted out with Blizz was quick and painless.
