Welcome one and welcome all, to the GameTavern Battle Royale. Characters from the world of film, television and video games, duke it out to be crowned the GameTavern Champion.
Our first round match-ups shall be fast-paced and intense, lasting only a day so that we can get through 32 match-ups in no time.

Toad (Super Mario Bros)

Toad – known in Japan as Kinopio (キノピオ?) – is a fictional, anthropomorphic mushroom in the Mario series, created by Shigeru Miyamoto. A citizen of the Mushroom Kingdom, Toad is one of Princess Peach's most loyal servants and is constantly working on her behalf. He is usually seen as a non-player character (NPC) who provides assistance to Mario and his friends, but at times Toad takes center stage and appears as a hero character as seen in Super Mario Bros. 2 and Wario's Woods.

Betelgeuse: The title character and an obnoxious, perverted and chaotic "bio-exorcist" who carries a grotesque physical appearance. He is also Juno's former assistant. The character is a mystery; his age and even how he came to die remain unknown, but he refers to having lived through the Black Death.
I know its not his actual name, but think more people would know him by it.
