Well it has been confirmed by two sources.
The Legend of Zelda includes an option to download minigames to the Game Boy Advance.

Interesting...
It's easy to confirm.
*Points to Nintendo's E3 conference*
It says in print: 'GBA connect' if you look close during the Zelda segment.

The Gaming-Age article even includes a video. This amazing feature allows a unique variety of cooperative or antagonistic play!!
Pressing the Start button brings up the item screen and lo and behold there was a GBA in my inventory. I quickly assigned it to one of my action buttons and resumed playing. I then used the GBA as an item and it attempted to call Tingle (who also appeared in Majora’s Mask). At that point the GBA came to life and Tingle appeared on the screen. There was quite a bit of Japanese text so I can’t say for sure all the options available to the user, but what can be done with the GBA is extremely cool. I had Tingle follow Link around the cavern at first. An icon appears on the TV screen, which shows where Tingle is located on the GBA. You can then move him around anywhere you like within the dungeon via the GBA controls. Here’s where this GBA connection truly shows its appeal. The GBA shows Tingle’s location as well as the enemies’ locations on the map. So you can move him over an enemy and then drop a bomb on it to do some major damage, even if the enemy isn’t on the current GameCube screen. You can virtually kill all the enemies before Link even encounters them. The version at E3 seemed to offer up unlimited bombs since I never ran out. You do have to be careful not to blow up Link though since the blast will greatly hurt him. It also appears that Tingle can be used to deliver items to Link or perhaps Tingle will be able to utilize other items than bombs.
The graphics on the GBA portion of the game are extremely bland right now, but the way in which the game works offers up great game possibilities. The first thought that came to my mind was that 2 players could take part in Link’s new adventure, with one hurling bombs via the GBA and the other at the helm with the Cube controller. It would give a multiplayer aspect to the game that’s always been missing from Zelda games. Of course, more evil ploys could be put into motion instead. While I was playing the game at E3, minding my own business, a Nintendo representative from NCL showed up and picked up the GBA. But, as I soon found out, he wasn’t trying to help me, but trying to blow me up! I shrugged and laughed and did my best to avoid the bombs, but he was quite bent on my destruction (and he was having a great time trying to kill poor Link). In the end he failed at his bombing attempt, only because I accidentally fell into the lava pit below.
