Who needs Pokemon?

I just picked up Monster Hunter for the first time - the latest installment on the PSP. It's fantastic. It's like a portable Demon's Souls. I'm freeing up space for the install right now, the loading kind of sucks.

Also, I hooked it up to my receiver and enjoyed some Dolby Pro Logic. Ancient, but damn it sounds good.

Oh great, perfect timing.

I can pimp out the Monster Hunter Tri demo I picked up today at GameStop. Its the Wii version of the game, which just means bigger, and better and stuff, I don't know.

Anyhow, I can see how the game is enjoyable to some, but I don't think well suited for it, but may give it another try in the morning.

Thus far, I've tried the sword and the shield, which works well, you get good speed, but I guess sacrifice damage.

I tried the Switch Axe, which was cool, but had a hard time telling the difference between the modes.

I do like the use of the Wii-mote to alter moves, used in a way where it doesn't distract, but helps out. Haven't tried classic control because don't own one.

~Edit~
Don't listen to Phil, this is NOTHING at all like PokeMon. Other than they have monsters.

Wii Demo? Blashphemy! I must try this.

Also I never said it was like Pokemon, but I do think paying for an upgraded version of an old game is kind of silly. I played that shit to death when I was younger; time for something new. Don't get me wrong, I frigging love Pokemon, too.

I got the best of both worlds, Pokemon on the go, and Monster Hunter at home. :p

What weapon do you use?

I don't know, I'm still on the tutorials. Bone knife or something. Looking forward to playing more on the train to work tomorrow.

I'd like to grab that MH3 demo.
Oh wait, apparently they're not releasing one in Europe.

Guess I'll have to pick up the game when it drops below €30.

It looks so sweet... But I wonder how much fun it'll be in singleplayer.

The PSP version is still a great old romp. Very, very hard. But hours wittle away so incredibly easily.
