Looks like Valve is set to release Steam for Mac computers. Looks like Combine can finally get around to playing Half-Life.

About time... Doesn't even know How Half-Life started, and why Gordon Freeman is totally sweet. Ugh...

If for nothing else, this is at least good that Adam can now experience it.

Yaaaaay! I can play Day of Defeat on my computer!
This is very welcome news. I only ask why it took so long?
Actually, on second thought, having Steam on my laptop would be a dangerous idea.

Any word on game deals when this releases?

Well, i suppose thats good news. I can't help but take this news as Valve's stepping stone for more news on upcoming products. Maybe Episode 3 will launch alongside the Mac release.

Haven't had the misfortune to use a Mac in a couple of years. Do they have right clicking down yet?

Wow, I totally forgot about Episode III. I must have convinced myself it is a lie as it has been so long since the last mention of it.

Don't you get it?
Obviously Episode 3's codename was "Cake: Delicious and Moist"
and portal was valve's way of saying that episode 3 was cancelled.
The cake is a lie.
Then Glados makes reference to the cake being so delicious and moist.
This means that Ep. 3 isn't going to happen. Sorry thought you guys would have figured it out now.

Consider your ignorance noted.
At any rate, this is awesome news. So going forward every app valve releases via Steam will launch side-by-side on Mac and Windows. Even patches will be simultaneous. And if you own the products on one platform you own them on both, very cool.
I'm just glad Valve is doing it the right way and not half assing it.

It's a valid question. It was command-click this and command-click that on the Macs at my college, and with Portal you need both mouse buttons. Can't imagine using WASD and then having to hold down command to shoot another portal.
Oh nm. http://www.apple.com/magicmouse/
Only $70. Magical.

I hope you know that you can use any mouse with a mac.
It doesnt have to be a mac specific mouse.
Mac specific mice are kind of lame, especialy the mighty mouse, that was the one that didnt have a right click.

Uh, me on the other hand, I hope it has to be Mac specific just so you don't play Episode 1 again!

I used to know that (remember bringing my own mouse into class now...four or five years since my last mac attack) but I completely forgot when I replied. Thanks TML and Combine for calling out my ignorance.
...I still hate Macs. :)

Hahaha, fair enough.
But you should try one of the newer ones out, maybe you'll like what you find. ;)

It's still basically the same. Not a lot of change.
This is awesome news for me, the only reason I would have a windows partition would have been for a few games, i might finally be able to get TF2

Indeed, I'm quite excited that I won't have to run it via Crossover or reboot for it.

Nah, im sure touch pad will do just fine. :p
Ill prob get a wireless mouse, then I can hook up my comp to the tv.
But I guess that would require a wireless keyboard as well.

TF 2 is finally hitting the Mac, and it comes with a few days of free gaming (its also only 10 bucks on Steam for the weekend)
So was wondering if GT's TF 2 group wanted to try the PC version. I already own it.
