Product Overview
"The Hobbit" is a third-person action/adventure game set in the world of Middle-earth. In the game, you take the persona of Bilbo Baggins, an unassuming Hobbit who has been unwittingly thrust into an epic adventure.

Explore the mystical world of Middle-earth where you'll need to jump gaping chasms, climb treacherous mountains, solve mind bending puzzles and battle hordes of enemies just to survive. Meet enchanting Elves, battle-ready Dwarves, a powerful Wizard, massive Trolls, bloodthirsty goblins, and more as you traverse from the peaceful lands of the Shire to the harrowing forests of Mirkwood. And that's just the beginning.

J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings have set the standard for fantasy writers and creators of epic worlds. The novels are massive best sellers, having sold close to 100 million copies worldwide and been translated into 26 different languages. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the subject of three movies being created by New Line Cinema, the first of which, The Fellowship of the Ring, was released on December 19, 2001 and is one of the hottest movies of 2001/2002.

Whoa! Strange lookin (mainly in the person's look but it might be like that, I dont know since I haven't read the hobbit), but at least the 'Cube is getting something out of the LOTR franchise. I would've rather had a game based on the trilogy books, but any will do.

Yeah, he's supposed to look like that, or something simliar. He's a hobbit, short people with big furry feet....

I wonder how much of they story they'll change to make it more suitable for video games? That Stoenlords thing sounds interesting, though really not that orginal.

They have to change quite a lot of the story I think... becuase in the book, Bilbo is only alone 2 or 3 times I think... anytime else he's with the Dwarves. That sure would be nice, fighting alongside the Dwarves.

Can't wait to cut loose the Dwarves and kill the spiders! :D:D

Those might only be pictures in the times Bilbo is alone, doesn't mean the whole game or a lot of the game will be like that. Maybe the dwarves are invisible *shrugs*

Looks ok, my only problem is that it kinda changes the way I imagined everything to look when I read the book, I always thought of hobbits as little mole type creatures.

Also Bilbo never really used his sword that much and certainly not in the mines/caves that he's in, in them screens. I wonder if a certian ring he finds will turn him invisible.

Well, after seeing TLotR, I believe you can live with that. What? You haven't seen the movie yet?? K...

I don't think this game can change my imagination.
