No trailer yet but there is:

Okay, this is astonishing, mindblowing and deeply flattering.
Last year, I posted a picture a day every day.
Truth be told, I posted 525 Photos and 1 Video in 365 days.
It was as much a great exercise for me as it was fun to blog them for you on this site.
I’ve never taken many mementos of my film-making before, indeed I took next to no photos during SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ. Or SPACED. Which in retrospect, saddens me.
I was determined to record the whole of last year and the production of SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD, in painstaking detail.
Finishing it on Dec 31st was bittersweet. Part of me was happy to not have to think about posting something cool, interesting or facetious every 24 hours. But part of me also misses just taking photos on a daily basis.
So I have to thank regular poster Joel Vallie for this equally painstaking video that covers my entire 2009 in 8 minutes flat.
Every single one of my 525 photos, plus all the other material I posted on here – blogs, retro blogs, music videos, is featured in this incredible piece that Joel edited.
See my life flash before my eyes in high style in the clip below.

After blowing through all 5 trades in about a day and a half, I'm kind of stoked for this movie.

Iffy on seeing Cera (not that I dislike him, but he does tend to play the same character) Also curious if the movie will retain the same charm and wit as the novel.

Also seems like the ending will be different in theatres than the one presented in the 6th trade whenever that comes out.

Cera is worrisome...but there hasn't been anything directed by Edgar Wright that I've seen and haven't liked, so *crosses fingers*

So looks like the official release is set for August 13th. Nice.

Also volume 6 is due before the release.

The reason Cera always plays the same character is because that's who he is in real life.

Which is somewhat disturbing to think of.

At any rate, I remember when I read about this movie a while back, I wanted to see it. I'm not going to go out of my way - but if it comes up, I'll watch it.

And here's the first trailer for the movie.

A video game based on the series was announced during San Diego Comic Con 2009 and will be developed by Ubisoft Montreal to be released alongside the film. The game will be side-scroller influenced by 8-bit and 16-bit video games. No details concerning platforms the game will be released on have been announced yet.

Uhm pretty excited about that. Hope that it does end up being like old school side-scrollers.

I didn't know about the existence of this stuff until just now. I'm "getting" the comics as we speak.

Not sure how I feel about the video game stuff in the comic, but sure, I'll go with it.

I still don't like Cera in this roll but at least he makes a different expression...well, sort of....his eyebrows appear to work....somewhat.

Can't wait for this movie.

Edgar Wright today tweeted that he was a Spinto Band fan...Sweet! We asked if we could lend some music for films in the future...*fingers crossed*

I bought all the comics and I'm now obsessed.

Read Scott Pilgrim, for it is glorious!

Just came back from seeing this.

And I will say it was a fun and enjoyable movie.

I thought it boiled the comics down pretty hard, but still maintained the wit and charm of the comics for the most part.

I am also a bigger fan of the ending in the movie than the comics.

And some awesome boss fights

I'm kind of glad I never saw the trailers for this movie and just went in on the recommendation of friends and people on this forum. That way, I could be surprised by the super-powered vegan (because being vegan makes him better than everyone else) or by the fact that Ramona has "seven evil exes" and not "seven evil ex-boyfriends" is actually a plot point. The essence of the movie, as far as I can tell, is that it will pretty much do anything to keep you entertained.

Also, someone needs to write a Scott Pilgrim vs Travis Touchdown fanfic.

Also, we should make BAB do a 151 Proof Movie review of this movie. He would take a drink every time there's a Zelda sound.

I just got back from seeing this with some friends.
I haven't read, nor even seen one of the comics before I saw the movie.
I also hate Michael Cera now. He plays the same character in everything he does. I will give this movie credit for making him an awkward 22 year old instead of an awkward teenager. At least his roles have been slowly aging since Arrested Development.

Anyways, the movie had some funny parts. However they were funny because of what was happening, not what was said. Such as Scott jumping out of a window, for example.

The best person in this movie hands down is Kieran Culkin. Everything he touches turns to hilarious queer magic.

Anyways, I wasn't really down with a lot of the things in the movie. Like I said, I didn't read the comics, and I'm not a fan of comics. So a movie that is meant to be a comic-on-film doesn't really do it for me. It had some enjoyable parts, and I was already in love with Mary Winstead before this movie existed, so I got by.

Still haven't seen it but that's disappointing. Was hoping Cera would actually do some acting for once.

Damn, I just realized that Scott Pilgrim is already gone from most theaters around here...Guess it didn't go so great at the box office, but I really wanted to check it out. Whoops.

I drove with a couple friends for two hours to find a theater with this movie and we were not disappointed.

Regardless of Cera's tendency to choose the same roles, he plays the characters well. And I thought Scott Pilgrim was different enough to add some flavor.
