If you've noticed my new signature, I've decided to delay my CSI Story until I complete Freshman Literature.

There seem to be a lot of beneficial things that would really strengthen my story and make it that much better, plus it would give me something to do over the summer when I'm bored at work.

So, if anyone got their hopes up (I doubt it ;)), just relax until Summer 2002.

So is this considered a fanfic? Is CSI based on the show (which, by the way, I haven't watched)?

Or is it completely original?

I'm just asking because I noticed that people have a tendency to call anything that's a work of fiction in text a "fanfic." This is wrong for, I think, obvious reasons.

Besides, I don't want people to click on the links in my signature expecting anything other than what they get. :D

That's what I'm not sure of.

It's based directly off the show - same character names, same basic intrest, I'm just writing what I want to happen in the form of a story.

You never miss a chance do you Xantar? :D

I think that qualifies since it's a work of fiction based on something that you are a fan of (you are a fan of CSI, aren't you? ;)).

There are such things as Star Trek fanfics, and they aren't based on the games.

In conclusion, you are writing a form of fiction similar in style to the works that I write which you can access by clicking on the links in my signature. :D
