It's happening tonight.

I'm interested in seeing if the changes they've made are as big as Valve is making them out to be. Even if it's the same, $33 for more L4D seems like a good enough deal to me.

Anyone else getting access to it tonight? Impressions go here if so.

Isn't it only for people who have pre-ordered it?

Isn't it only for people who have pre-ordered it?

Or people who know how to cheat the system.

I got into the demo today, and its like the first one, two random maps, not even sure if from the same stage.

You get some new features to try out.

The melee weapons, some of them feel really overpowerd. You can take out some special infected with a single melee strike and stuff. And how do you behead with a guitar?

There are of course more of everything so could work as a team to carry items.

You now have in addition to First Aid, a Defibrillator (spelling?) to bring a teammate back from the dead.

You have Adrenaline in addition to pills, which seems to make you move faster or something but not as much health.

You can now carry boomer bile in addition to Molotovs and Pipe Bombs, and you douse an enemy and zombies will charge after them.

There are different normal zombies as well, only one I saw so far is zombie in police gear which eats bullets in the front so you can either melee or shoot in the back.

Then there are the new types of infected, so far saw the Charger, who sets his focus on one foe and will repeatedly pound said person into the ground.

The Spitter, which spews an acid pool, and when he dies also leaves a tiny pool. You take damage as long as you are standing in it, I can see some fun uses for it in Versus.

Then there is the Jockey, who I don't know if he does much damage, but he will jump on a single person and pull them away from the group and into hordes of zombies.

Hmm some of the old infected seem to have been spruced up. Or maybe they look different during the day. Oh yeah, the two demo levels are during the day so it is bright out. Which is quite the difference.

So far seems like a fun sequel, still not sure if would buy day one.

Sounds good. But they'll probably sell the game for €20 after a few months, just like the original.
