Hmm attempting not to answer what "white culture" is even though he believes Obama has a deep seeded hatred of something.. he doesn't even know.

That is pretty much the most failtastic response I've ever seen. What the hell was he babbling about "sound bites." Beck trying to play the victim card is about as asinine as it gets. He couldn't answer a question from a Twitter user and looked like an idiot trying to back out of it. What a tool. This guys doesn't deserve the time people give him. He thinks he can just spout this BS and get away with it. Thankfully the Twitter user and Katie Couric called him out on it.

This does not surprise me in the least.

I don't agree with Beck's assertion on Obama hating white culture, or at the very least I don't think there is any real evidence to support the statement, but to be honest I think asking someone to define "white culture" or any other culture in an interview format is a bit ridiculous.
What is white culture?
What is black culture?
What is asian culture?
What is hispanic culture?
There are things that have developed over thousands of years, and at least one of them have entire curriculum dedicated to it.
None of these questions can be answered in a sentence or two. Beck was stupid to make the comment to begin with, but avoiding the question was a smart move on his part as any response he gave would obviously be used against him.
Did anyone see the whole interview? I found it fascinating as Beck seemed to move between concerned conservative/libertarian intellectual and paranoid conspiracy theorist with disturbing ease.
He's is a tough case for many Buckley Jr./Rand conservatives like myself, because he can make very good points and at times has been prophetic in guessing future problems (he quite literally saw the recession coming two+ years before it happened, and guessed it down to the CAUSE. It was eerie.) and his relentless analysis of every nook and cranny of extreme elements in government (Van Jones and ACORN being two examples of stories that needed to be exposed and would have gone nowhere without him)...
But then again, he also is nearly apocalyptic in his rhetoric much of the time and this attracts extreme separatist and anarchistic elements on the right... elements that we'd like to see stay irrelevant and not worked up. My fear is that even though Beck clearly states that violence is not acceptable, the tone of his rhetoric may inspire violence, and I think it may have already done so with the recent case of the census worker being hung. Also, I really dislike his refusal to accept more moderate republicans, like McCain, because of his association with Teddy Roosevelt, who Beck seems to think is on the same level as Joseph Stalin.
So in conclusion, I have to agree with Earl's assertion. Glenn Beck has definitely gone full on weird.

I simply think Beck is full of crap and is an attention whore.
By the way, I love how Katie interviews. She won't let people just blow off one of her questions.. Its funny how she said that he has all the time in the world to explain his answer and he still wouldn't do it. Its not like he was forced into answering it "in a sentance or two". He had the chance to explain what he meant when he spread one of his many lies about Obama, and couldn't.

White power! Er...I mean white culture!
Shouldn't the real news be that Katie Couric outsmarted someone?
