Yeah, this is happening.

I mean a war movie that focuses on a single fleet of 5 ships could be interesting.

Aside from "Battleship" and "Stretch Armstrong," U is separately developing "Clue" with Gore Verbinski, "Monopoly" with Ridley Scott, "Candyland" with director Kevin Lima, and "Ouija" with Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes. As a board game, "Battleship" was launched by Milton Bradley in 1967 and has sold more than 100 million units.

I can't believe they are making all of these boardgame movies....I mean, what a weird concept. Clue makes sense, but Monopoly is odd to me. I can see Ouija as a crappy horror movie and Candyland as a crappy kids movie. David Lynch should be directing one of these. It would be guaranteed to be all sorts of effed up...

Stretch Armstrong eh? Would have much preferred a Plastic Man movie. I used to have the dog Fetch Armstrong...until he sprang a leak...corn syrup everywhere.

David Lynch directing Candyland would be awesome.
