So, in the long history of James Bond films we have had a total of 6 actors, excluding the 1967 comedy/parody film, Casino Royale.

Obviously Sean Connery is the first and best Bond. He is a legend. He had charisma, he was suave. He captured the imagination of every teenage boy and young adult, and his role in the early Bond films is timeless. He is the best Bond, and that is undisputed in my book. If you disagree...well, I am sorry, if you disagree you are simply wrong. ;)

After Connery came nothing but controversy. Each Bond after Connery has their pros and cons, and each has been loved and panned by critics and fans alike. Some of this is the fault of the writers and the directors, but alas, people don't blame the one-liners and poor scripts on the writers.

So in your opinion, who is the second best Bond?

George Lazenby:

Roger Moore:

Timothy Dalton:

Pierce Brosnan:

Daniel Craig:

I almost excluded Craig out of fear he would receive overwhelming majority, if not all the votes, but then BaB is a huge Bond fan and we also have some older forum members who might fondly remember the Moore or the Lazenby days.

I remember some of the Dalton films.

Hmm...this is a tough one

Lazenby Days?
Isn't it more like day?

I've honestly only seen enough Bond from the Brosnan/Craig days to judge... I'd pick Craig over Brosnan.
But I'll hold off on a vote until my Bond collection stops collecting dust and I actually finish all of them.
Which will probably be never.

Okay what is with the Roger Moore love? Do people love that much cheese in their movies?

I won't vote because I can't really compare. I've only seen a handful of Bond movies. But I did like Pierce Brosnan.

You are correct in that Lazenby only starred in one film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I will say that there was probably controversy surrounding his role that lasted a while. There was at least enough controversy to bring back an older Sean Connery to star in the lackluster 'Diamonds are Forever.'

I like OHMSS, it's a great Bond film. But I always wondered what it would have been like had Sean Connery played Bond in it....

Brosnan is definitely the Bond of my generation, that's probably why. Most people I know have only seen the Brosnan movies and the new Craig ones.

I've realized in the last couple of years that James Bond movies are stupid and I don't like them.

hahah

I just got 'You only live twice' and 'The spy who loved me' from Netflix. I've enjoyed every bond movie I've seen, even the old ones lol.

I have a feeling that 'Her majesy's secret service' might not be good... gonna get it next though. I just find it strange that they switched actors for one movie then switched right back. Maybe it's a sign.
