Ryan Reynolds is officially Green Lantern. :)

You bastard, I was gonna post this! I heard this morning that Bradley Cooper was in the running. Better Ryan Renolds than Cooper. So Renolds gets to play Deadpool and The Green Lantern? What a guy.

I still don't think he really has the stuff of superheros but meh.

As much as I like Reynolds I'm having trouble picturing him as Hal Jordan. Deadpool sure. The Flash absolutely. But GL? Cooper might have been better. He could have definitely got the prickish nature down.

I doubt they would allow him to make the Deadpool movie now that he is making the GL one

I don't see why not. He was already technically Deadpool. And he's been Hannibal King. I say he should be as many superheroes as humanly possible for one actor to be.

Well just thinking that the company behind GL may put something in his contract against doing anymore Marvel films if he will be GL

I'm not quite sure what to make of this casting.

Reynolds is a good enough actor, but I don't know if Hal is the wise-cracking type. He has a smug attitude about himself, but I think its a bit different than the character Reynolds usually plays.

Also curious the budget as GL is a pretty sci-fi/space heavy series. More so than any before it.

My thoughts exactly. Bradley Cooper is funny and in a dick type of way, be he also has a certain menacing quality that I think Hal Jordan/GL needs. Reynolds just never had that for me.
