Should you be on the internet while you're computer is defragging? I ask because thats what I'm doing right now.

Back in the glory days of Windows 95 and 98 it was recommended you idle Windows (ideally in Safe Mode) while running a defrag because it does move around files and stuff. Nowadays I think most OSes probably have some security checks so I doubt you are at any risk.

My OCD-self would probably run it overnight or while I'm at work or away from my computer though. It doesn't take that long, just turn it on when you need to take an epic dump or something.
