Come on, really, what the hell did the black smoke ever do except float around being all smokey and making some weird noises? Punk ass smoke, I would chase it and breathe it through my bong and get high off of it :lol:

The smoke monster seems like a bad choice for this competition, since its merits are based entirely on being in a good show.

Mummy, no doubt. The Mummy is a classic monster. How the hell is smoke a monster anyway? Smoke comes out of my chimney when we make a fire. Not scary at all.

I think the quality of a show should be based on the enjoyment the viewer gets out of it, so while lost may be a "good" show, I find it... boring, but alas.
