Well, this is one of the most bizarre things I've ever heard, but so gonna watch.

This is of course the Turtles' 25th anniversary and to celebrate 4Kids is creating a new direct to television movie... that has the new Turtles.. teaming up with the Turtles from the original cartoon.

Some stuff found while searching the web

"Given some of the unfounded rumors that have popped up in various places on the Web about the upcoming "animated movie" from 4Kids that Lloyd Goldfine made mention of in a recent interview, I feel compelled to clarify this one important point -- this "movie" is NOT just three more episodes added to the end of this current "Back to the Sewer" season. It is a completely separate project, intended from its conception as part of the 25th anniversary celebration. The reason it is being produced in three episode-length pieces is that doing so gives us more flexibility in how we show it. But it is all one story -- you can think of the three pieces as the three chapters in a three-chapter story.

While I am still not going to give a lot away at this point, I can say that this project may make a lot of fans quite happy, as it finally brings together the old and the new. And without being specific, I can also say that this project will also show fans the Turtles as they have never before been seen in animation. -- PL

So it will be like an hour long, wouldn't mind as the DCAU stuff is usually 70 minutes.

This reminds me of that Power Rangers episode where all the red rangers throughout the series got together to kick some dudes ass. And the whole time, while they're bustin' shit up, you're wondering "holy crap, is Jason gonna show up? Where's the original red ranger? holy crap he better show up". And then at the and when they're all doing bad and need help, Jason shows up and saves the day.

So the special aired yesterday and it was good fun. Wasn't a fan of how they treated original series characters, but in retrospect, I guess the cartoon was a bit campy so only fair.

Yeah, they did take a few too many jabs at the '88 turtles. But then you had the originals making fun of the 2K3 ones. The voice actor for '88 Leo was horrible. Awesome overall though.

Asa clild of the early 90s i remember quite alot of the shows.I loved TMNT back then and power rangers and bbig bad beetleborgs and transformers beast wars .I thought it was pretty cool when in the live action show of TMNT they added a female turtle venus and they also teamed up with the power rangers in one episode witch was freaking awesome i would why they ever ended the show for i thought it was doing well with the show and merch
