Well, the surprise was ruined in the title.
Anyways, I'm getting a cat and while it already has a name - "Tigger" - I say screw that. I hate the name Tigger for a cat, so I shall re-name it. Cities can be re-named, so so can cats.

The thing is, I'm not exactly sure what to name it.
It's a Manx cat (big hind legs, stubby tail).

And don't suggest Battlecat, as that was the name of a bird I had up until a few months ago.

I am contemplating Catsby.

Give it a Pokémon name.

Or name it Shiggy.

I was thinking Shinx, since you say it's a Manx.

Dogs are better.

I like dogs but cats are my favorite.
Is it a male or a female?

My cat's name is Midna...I think that's a pretty awesome name for a cat. :)

You know you're at a gaming forum when the name for a cat are taken from Zelda, Thundercats and Pokemon.

I want to give it a nerdy gaming name.
My bird's name was Battlecat for fuckssake. (From He-man).

Even though "Dogs are better" is a neat name, it's now down to Catsby and Snarf.

I don't know if this is in defense or against Snarf:lol:

-Thundercat

I just must share this:

The Snarfs: A race of intelligent cat-like creatures, Snarfs are plump, fuzzy and kind. Snarfs are native to Thundera, living in the Valley of Snarfs

I laughed at that.

Anyways, I laughed at the name "Snarfer". The nephew of "Snarf".

'Scratchy'

Or since he 'was' called Tigger how about -

Sheer Khan, in keeping with the tiger theme.

Otherwise call him -

I have to agree with Snarf.

Though Roll-Cage would be a sweet name

Snarf wouldn't make sense if you never watched the Thundercats or where ever it comes from... You need a name that you can stand for.

"You named your cat Snarf! Awesome! I used to watch that show all the time!!"
".... yeah I've never seen it in my life. Actually."

I do however, happen to love Snarf.
And since when does "a name that everyone will understand" change anything?

Yeah I don't follow.

I don't think he had to have seen Thundercats to name his cat Snarf. If someone gets the reference all the better, I just think its a cool name for a cat.

Though still leaning towards my choice.

I meant you as in you, not you as in people in general.

I know I wouldn't want to name anything after something I don't know. It wouldn't make much sense if I did that. Of course I wouldn't care whether or not others recognized it. Makes it all the more special when they do.

Referring to me?
Was the correct answer 'you'?

I would name it "Maru" after this lovable fuzzball.
