I know Acebot made a post about Up in the Toy Story 3 thread....

...but this movie was so good it deserves its own thread. The animations were amazing and they really made the characters seem "human," the intro was really moving and sad, the jokes were funny...

Seems like the bar gets raised with every film....Toy Story 1/2, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E....

This wasn't quite in the league of WALL-E, and was a lot different than Toy Story, but I enjoyed myself quite a bit.

edit: oh yeah....please don't see this in 3D. I think 3D would ruin this wonderful film which looked GORGEOUS as is. But to each their own...if you want to pay 2 dollars to get screwed in the wallet by the movie industry suit yourself.

Why not in 3D?

Why not in 3D?

Honestly, because the movie was gorgeous in 2D. And because 3D glasses cost more money. And because 3D movies have a slightly more muted color palette because of the 3D thing. And because it seems like every movie that is animated is coming out in 3D these days, and evidently it's good money for the theaters.

Also did seem like it was made for 3D.

But don't take my word for it.

I've never seen a 3D movie in theaters. Only in amusement parks.

But I guess this one won't be the first to watch in 3D. I'll wait for one where people say it's better than the 2D version.

I heard Coraline was better in 3d than 2d, but I missed out on seeing it, so I don't know. I still haven't seen anything in 3d yet.

The only thing I've seen in 3D is life.

Basically all movies are in 3D. 2D doesn't exist. In a way. You're just seeing the flat side of a 3D object.

I got me some free glasses.

I tried to be a big boy, I really did, but almost lost it when he bestowed upon him the Ellie badge.

The stupid thing was, they gave Goldmember a German accent, not Dutch.

Anyway, it's silly how long we have to wait for this movie. But we do get Ice Age 3 in a few weeks. :)

Well...Goldmember didn't speak Dutch, according to Doctor Evil he spoke "Freaky Deaky Dutch." :p
