I just have shit for luck this week as it relates to games.

I'm playing TF 2 with the group on Tuesday, and the game freezes up. I go to restart the console and I get the dreaded RRoD. So now that's in the coffin.

I worked most of yesterday so no big deal.

I get punch-out for Wii and go to fire it up, system starts, game is in... sensor bar won't recognize the pointer so I can't even select the friggin game!

This is just awful.

Brand new batteries.
The controller works well.
Its that somehow its not seen it on screen, and no way to navigate menu without it.

Dylan had the same problem with his sensor bar.
They were using a third party wireless bar, so I brought over mine, hooked it up, and it worked beautifully.

My suggestion is to gently make sure all the wires on the sensor bar are attatched firmly.

I double checked, but will do again.
If nothing else, get a new one 2morrow or something.
And there's always my PS3...

Do you have a classic controller? you can use that to navigate.

You have tried re-synchronising the controller I take it? Press the little red button under the flap on the front of the wii and the one under the battery cover of your wii mote?

*Hides BaB's PS3*

Try pointing it at some bright lightbulbs and see if the Wii registers them at all. If you see your little P1 hand show up, then you know it's your sensor bar and not the controller (if you didn't know already).

Also, as Zen said, if you have a classic controller you can use the analog sticks to navigate. Maybe you can navigate with the analog stick on the nunchuck as well?

Maybe you can navigate with the analog stick on the nunchuck as well?No you can't. You can't navigate with the Cubetroller either. :(

What manasecret said. Aim it at 2 candles to see if it's the controller or sensor bar.
Btw, do you just have 1 controller???

Oh and if you can't replace the bar fast enough, you can keep using the 2 candles. :)

In the other thread you said you were playing PunchOut, was that before or after this?
