View Full Version : CRASH, Where the hell is my N64 controller!

For years i have sat by the postbox. The hair on my head grew 10 feet long, and contorted itself around a post; my beard grew below my knees and formed a handy bowl shape on my lap. Many years ago i won a contest on these boards for 'best poster of the month'*, for which Crash promised me my prize was an N64 controller. Having never really won anything before, the excitment consumed my very existence, so much so everything else in my life took a sudden backseat. So sit and wait i did.

A little dog would often come and deposit small bits of food in my beard bowl. When the dog stop coming, i began to look at the backseat, and the reality that Crash may have never sent the N64 controller started to sink in. For the first time in years i tried to stand, but my hair raped around the post prevented me. My anger was brewing, until i eventually toar all my hair clean out. I was then unfortunately sent to a mental asylum, from which i recently escape. I was forced to leave my home country, and i now find myself residing in Japan**.

Many here may not remember this particular episode of Gametavern life and its past guises, but i implore those who do to help me attain justice. It now seems things have changed quite a lot, N64 controllers are no longer used, and theres this service called Virtual console, and apparently old controllers called Gamecube controllers. It seems an N64 controller would be of no use to me now. So i ask, what compensation should Crash offer me, other than his life.

*On a side note, i don't believe there have been any 'best poster' contests of any sort since. Since i am the only member to be given such a title, the title is still mine.

**I actually am currently living in Japan, i've been here about a month and half.

That was a really good post! I have a few spare N64 controllers lying around. I can send you one.

Good to see you around C.H...

PS: Ric, what part of London are you in? My band has spent a good amount of time there over the last couple of years.

It's good to have your support Ric. Dude, i've been sat on a wall for years and just broke out of a mental asylum, give us a beer on the house mate ;)

Thanks Germanator, its good to appricated. I'd be lying if i said i didn't put some thought into that post, thought if i was going to post again after all these years i should make the first a good one. Don't worry about the N64 controller

Bluefire, good to see your still about.

Where's Crash! Don't make me send out the hounds.

Perhaps, just perhaps i've taken the step and may have a real presence here on GT once again.

Ha ha... By official rules of participation, I think the outstanding contest prizes default to Neo, having taken over gametavern.

Wow, that's been a while. I can amazon you one!

West Norwood, near Stretham-Brixton-Tulse Hill-Crystal Palace kind of area.
I live near the train station.

Oh and Angrist, my Japanese is still some what limited, but i'm slowly learning more.

Xantar is still alive and well, he doesn't post here that often.
No idea what became of Shadow Link.
Yoda shows his head from time to time.

How many Europeans are there on here, other than you, me and Ric?
You suddenly made me think of sdt pikachu, did he completely vanish?

Wow, now that does bring back some memories; i haven't thought about Madness forums in years. I remember we were posting parts for the Sci-Fi story, which is still in my avantar and signature (haven't changed it yet).

Lurker, humm, i think thats what happens to forum members; they either get feed up or can't find the time to post, then find it hard to post because they either want to commit to posting often or not at all.

We lived in the U.S for 3 years, so that makes us honorary Americans.

(wow, very off topic)

Now we just need to find a way to get the Europeans to wage war on the Canadians.

And what happened with the Sci-Fi story? Are any parts posted.

Good luck on that one, Canada has nothing we want or we would own it already

Yes, the Sci-Fi Story. It all sarted on a forum that C.H made, some of us created our own characters and then posted a part each, taking turns.
I created Ricus Deathstar, C.H created Zap Brannagon, Yoda9864 created Boba, and some others (I forget who) made Flymo (Who's mother was a person and his father a tractor) and Info (Info being a piss take out of Data from Star Trek)

Unfortunatly the forum C.H created was lost, but we did keep copies of the story. We continued on and wrote at least 100 odd pages. We also created a Sci Fi story Christmas Special that was posted on here long ago.

C.H and I also both wrote 'Past Stories' for our respective characters. I am unsure as to the progress of C.H's one but mine, The Chronicles Of Ricus Deathstar is in dire need of editing and completing. I had the idea of actually publishing it so I had started to go through editing things, changing Deathstar to Daskar, Jedi to Gedi and so on. So yeah it needs work.

As for the Sci Fi Story, I am sure it is hidden away somewhere in the archives of old hard drives and floppy disks that C.H and I own. We will have to try and find it, not easy since it is on the Isle Of Wight, I am in London and C.H is in Japan. So, I'll speak to him, we'll sort something out then get something posted when we can. Could be as late as christmas by the time we are both there though.

Happy to know theres intrest in the story ;)
