Bury my shell at wounded knee.

Big Apple, 3 AM

Prehistoric Turtlesaurus

Neon Night Riders.

Can't think of any more.

The best one I just remembered:

Star BASE! Where no turtle has gone before!

I find your fascination with the Turtles scary, if not disturbing.

The turtles were really good. Especially with our generation growing up. They were everywhere. Personally, I have 90% of all the oldschool Turtles toys, and used to religiously watch the show.

And I found the games completely fun and awesome.

So I cannot speak for everyone - however any new Ninja Turtles game is fantastic.

This has to make it's way to PSN, or I'm going to have to murder somebody.

I just don't know anyone in real life who likes the Turtles. Maybe it's because they were renamed "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" here. No ninja love in Europe.

And I know very few people in real life who in some way or another weren't Ninja Turtles fans.

I do have an Xbox. It just doesn't work. It broke again, and I just can't be bothered to get it fixed again.. And I'm quite happy with my PS3..

So it comes out July 22nd on XBLA

Ubisoft has announced that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled, a downloadable game inspired by one of the most acclaimed arcade games of all time, will kick off the Summer of Arcade, and release on July 22 worldwide exclusively on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360, and later this year on the PlayStation Network. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled is a side-scrolling, four-player action brawler based on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series - six screenshots have been inserted in our gallery.

Is it just me, or did they speed the game up like 10 times faster than the original version?

Typhoid
07-16-2009, 04:30 PM
They definitely sped it up. I don't see that as a negative, really. Because as I remember the original game was pretty slow, and you were only fighting maybe 4 enemies at a time. Good for the day, yeah, sure. But now if the game was really slow it wouldn't hold many people's attention for too long. I assume, anyways.

It looks like a combination of classic arcade, and turtles.

If that was sped up, I don't want to see the normal speed.

It's not sped up, it's just a guy beating the game (well, the first half of the game) really fast.

On a side note, my friends knew a Mike Uyama back in high school who was a huge video game dork who still owned a bunch of his old systems... I wonder what the odds are that it's the same guy. *ponders*

So first thing I did when got back home was purchase this game, and sadly it is the arcade version, which means no Rat King as a boss, and they completely remove the level in the Technodrome.

I played this with three of my friends and it was so difficult to find your turtle. Four-player is definitely a confusing experience. For most of the game, I just moved forward and kept pressing X. I had the highest score.

This review confused me. I admit I haven't played the whole game, just the trial, but:

The guy writing that review acts like it's a big surprise that it's a simple button mashing brawler, and complains that the game hasn't aged well.

I thought we all knew this already, and anyone buying the game knew what they were getting: an old arcade game with updated graphics. Considering it only costs like $10, that seems pretty fair to me.

I'm probably going to get it this weekend when I get paid. :) I really enjoyed the trial game.

Well it is called a button masher, but yeah that is pretty much the strategy just try to aim and press X as fast as possible.

You can also tap Left Trigger to locate yourself on screen, but I hardly ever find it worth it. If you are in a swarm of baddies, right direction.
