The game is WAR. I'm not sure if any of you have ever looked into it, or maybe you're a WoW player looking to try something new, but it is really fun, and I have 3 'recruit a friend' things laying around, which are essentially 1 week free trials.

The game is different than WoW as it is PvP based rather than PvE based, and a lot of work is actually put into balancing the PvP aspect of the game. It is balanced around large group battles, hence the 'war' theme.

However, the quests and PvE part of the game is actually very good as well. You get this item right from the very beginning called the "Tome of Knowledge", which keeps track of all of your quests, as well as story elements that you have uncovered. It makes it nice to explore and play, always knowing you can go back and read the story later.

The PvP is divided up into levels. For example, levels 1 - 12 are in one area, then once you get passed that level, you move up to the next 'chapter' or area. Of course you can always explore and travel beyond where you should be, but you'll probably get pwned. And if you're a big player and you enter a PvP zone for lower levels, you get turned into a chicken which takes 1 hit to kill.

Part of the PvP is centered around 'realm vs realm' combat, where you fight over territory, try to take keeps from the enemy, and even sac an enemy city, which can be quite insane. The capital cities of each side (Destruction and Order), can actually be conquered and ransacked, though that doesn't happen too often. Also, the capital cities are 'living cities' - there's always something interesting going on.

I don't want to ramble too much, but you can always go over to the WAR website and read up on it.

Click on the 'armies of war' button on the left to see races/classes.

If you think you will play and are interested in a trial, let me know.

However, you should probably actually download the trial before I give you the recruit...because it's dumb to waste 2 days of the trial downloading it:

If anyone has any questions about how the game works, you can ask me. I havn't played it in a month or so due to so much school, but now that summer is here I'm going to get back into it again. A friend of mine started a guild on the Vortex server, so that should be fun. Guilds actually get a ton of really cool features.

Sooner or later they all come back to WoW.

Unless me of course.

Oh, funny WoW story! Last week I suddenly got mails saying that I had activated my TBC free trial, that I had requested a new random password, that I was banned from the chat for spamming. And then even more password resets and bans.

Turned out that my main character (epic lvl 60) was deleted, and there were now lvl 1s instead. I changed my e-mail + password. I apparently got hacked.
But how is that possible? Did they have access to my e-mail? Did they 'catch' my e-mail while it was being sent? Why didn't they change the password as soon as they could log in? Why delete a good lvl 60 instead of selling it? Why not advertise with a lvl 60 instead of a lvl 1?
So many questions.

My brother had contacted a GM and they have restored my character(s). My account is frozen, until I enter my CD-key and secret answer (without knowing the secret question ).
