What do You do When Bored?

I'm like dying here at work. As we are getting rid of more and more residents (currently at 2-4 depending on who you ask), there is less work for us to do. I am working on notes I need to do, but finding myself lacking any type of motivation to finish.

So what do you do when bored? Surf the web? Read? Go for a walk? Call up some friends?


And more importantly, what can I do here since all the video sites are blocked.

I play games or drink booze. Sometimes I do both of those at the same time!

Bored at work? I look at youtube, sports sites.. go to playlist.com and try to make up lists. If I need time to go by faster I play games here.

Bored at home? I sleep mostly.... lol

Okay okay, so aside from masturbating, I play a lot of Peggle. It's like the most addicting game ever, and it has tons of depth if you are serious about it, but it is also one of the most rewarding casual games I have ever seen. It has replaced Minesweeper and Solitaire as my game to play between classes or while chatting on AIM or waiting for food to cook or whatever.

In fact I might make a Peggle thread....

I also read and nap. Sometimes I'll see 9 hours of my day disappear if I really get interested in what I'm reading.

Depends for me. Either play a game (which is getting rarer, just not into them as heavily anymore), go bike riding, lookup things on BB if not at home, or TV. TV is rarer then gaming (sans movies on external drive).

I read or listen to music. When I game it tends to be very planned and so if I am just casually bored and don't have a block of completley free time I'll just grab a book or my zune.

Well, I don't play games as much as I used to, but from time to time I'll pick one up and play it. I go on the computer and talk to people and listen to music. I also love to ride my bike. Sometimes I'll even bring out my knex or legos and build something, like I used to when I was a kid. I play my sax along with my Dad playing piano. I've noticed that since college started, whenever I'm bored and I'm at home I really like to spend time with my sisters and my parents. I can't wait to go back home this summer, there's so much to look forward that I've missed out on these past two years.

A for the work situation do a google search and see if you can find something that breaks the internet settings allowing access. Then you can do what you like. If your boss has a go at you for it then punch him in the face :lol:

I read a lot too. I am currently reding a book called Mystic Places. I am learning a lot about the lost city of Atlantis with notes on case studies from several sources and the writings of plato. It's pretty interesting.

I usually grab my guitar and play for 10-20 minutes. Lately I've been trying to come up with some nice tunes, and I'm getting there.

Oh and I often grab my bible and read a few chapters. I'm already at 2/3 or so. :)
