This is a thread to discuss all those little games that don't make it to retail. The Unsung heroes of this generation.

With that said, some announcements from today.
Diner Dash- All 3

As if no one seen this coming? One of the most memorable, fan-favorite indie games of all time is finally coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and the WiiWare platform. I’m actually somewhat shocked it took this long to get the game on the big-three’s online arcade platforms.

“We’re delighted to bring Flo and Diner Dash to new gen consoles for the first time,” said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Product Development at Hudson Entertainment. “Players have fallen in love with the award-winning series because of its quirky characters and fast-paced fun.”

The real kicker is that Diner Dash for the new consoles will be in 3D! Whoa, bet you didn’t see that one coming? The game will still maintain its fast-paced, arcade-style gameplay and casual-friendly approach. The game will also sport some new multiplayer features, including 1-on-1 head-to-head bouts and team modes sporting up to 8 players. The game is due to hit the respective platforms this summer.

Water Warfare- WiiWare
HUDSON ENTERTAINMENT SPLASHES UP GOOD, CLEAN FUN THIS SUMMER WITH "FIRST PERSON SOAKER" VIDEOGAME, WATER WARFARE
Wii Owners get Drenched with this Downloadable title as they try to keep Cool in Water Warfare

San Mateo, Calif. – March 23, 2009 – Wii™ owners will have a new way to beat the heat this summer as Hudson Entertainment splashes up Water Warfare, a “first person soaker” videogame, exclusively downloadable for WiiWare™. The family-friendly “soaker” is set to be published by Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American publishing arm of HUDSON SOFT. The game has been rated E10+ for Everybody 10+ by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).

“Water Warfare is the perfect summer videogame to beat the heat.” said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Product Development at Hudson Entertainment. “It’s easy to download and play this ‘first person soaker’ – just get your squirt gun ready and go for it!”

In Water Warfare, players go head to head or team up as they run around playgrounds and beaches to drench each other with squirt guns. They’ll be able to protect themselves with, what else, raincoats, towels and more. There are other items, like the umbrella, which can attack and defend at the same time! With different types of squirt guns, pick-up items, offline and eight player online multiplayer, there’s tons of squirt gun fun to be had. Throughout the game, players use the Nunchuk™ to control movement, aim using the Wii Remote™, and can load up on different squirt guns, such as shotguns and rocket launchers, to soak their opponents.

Military Madness Nectaris- All 3
Hudson Entertainment to Recruit Soldiers for New Generation of Military Madness
Classic TurboGrafx-16 Strategy Game Returns to Digital Download Platforms with Updated Features and Gameplay

San Mateo, Calif. – March 23, 2009 – Ten-hut! Military Madness, the classic turn-based strategy game published by Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American publishing arm of HUDSON SOFT, is coming to Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®Network, and WiiWare™. This new version of the strategic combat simulation game includes an all-new graphical barrage, a regiment of new units, online co-op and vs. multiplayer and a platoon of other new features. Due to be ready for deployment this summer, Military Madness has been rated T for Teen by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).

“Since its original release on TurboGrafx-16 in 1989, Military Madness has stood the test of time as one of the longest-lived turn-based strategy games in history,” said Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Product Development at Hudson Entertainment. “The new Military Madness will give fans of the original a modern version of this classic strategy game, while gamers new to the series will get to enjoy being armchair generals for the first time.”

With new features such as the commander unit, four person online multiplayer gaming and a 3D view of the battlefield, Miltary Madness has been modernized to meet the needs of today’s gamer without straying from the strategic elements that earned the original version awards for the “Best Military Strategy Game” and “Best War Game” within a year of its release. For those who want to know who is the “best of the best”, detailed stat-tracking leaderboards can be reviewed online.

Also Serious Sam HD remake for XBLA/PSN, I believe.

Just curious how many downloaded games people actually have here?

I have a few. Mostly on the Wii actually with the VC stuff. On PS3 I have Super Stardust HD, Street Fighter 2 HD remix, I think one of the MKs, Flower, and I think that's it.

360 I have Banjo-Kazooie, Marble Blast I think it is?, I really really can't remember.

Winter '09 last I heard. Man, the PD 'remake' is definitely looking good. The Skedar are much more detailed then I was expecting but not complaining. Definite Day 1 purchase for me moreso then it already was just hearing they were remaking it for XBLA.

Interesting, a webbased demo for a Wii game. I like it. :)
But I can't play it because this university PC doesn't have the plugin.

In other WiiWare demo news:
I really considered getting Bit Trip Beat because I love the demo. Then I found out the demo accounts for almost 1/3 of the game. Too short! :(

See how long this will last, but shall try and update with new releases on Mon (WiiWare/VC), Wedn (XBLA) and Thurs (PSN)

Notable for Wii this week is
Max and the Magic Marker, which is a game I've been looking forward to for some time. (And already bought.) Thus far its a pretty novel platformer, though what you can do is pretty basic so far.

And FF 2 on Virtual Console, Moogle can probably tell you which FF this is, though I believe its 4.

NINTENDO DOWNLOAD: WITH FANTASY GAMES THIS GOOD, WHY SETTLE FOR REALITY?

Browse all the latest downloadable games for the Wii and Nintendo DSi™ systems to help keep your imagination fueled to the max.

We've also got some free bonus inspiration for you this week: At last September's Penny Arcade Expo, Nintendo invited professional artists to create one-of-a-kind animations using the Flipnote Studio™ application for the Nintendo DSi system. The results are now online and ready for viewing at the Flipnote Hatena site (http://flipnote.hatena.com), including cool clips from top comic artists like Eric Jones, Christina Strain and Mike Choi. So anyhow, in order to overcome my gaming rut, I've decided to try out some arcade titles.

So looking for some suggestions.
I most likely will be getting Castlevania for XBLA
So looking mostly for WiiWare and PSN stuff, though will take XBLA.
Still need Shadow Complex
