A year or 2 ago I thought about buying Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix for the GameCube, but I couldn't find a cheap enough copy. Just used ones for €80. Now I searched again, the price has dropped to €40, which isn't too bad for a pretty rare game.

Then I found the best deal:

A GameCube I don't want but can sell or maybe even give away
4 controllers (all 1st party)
5 games I don't want but can sell again (MK Double Dash, Super Mario Sunshine, SSBB, Tony Hawk 4, SSX Tricky... own all but the last)
DDR: Mario Mix incl. mat

for €75

So I mailed the guy, I hope he hasn't sold it yet (or realised how cheap that is).

So here's the question about dance mats. Are 3rd party dancing mats compatible with DDR? There's lots of mats for €15, which seem to have the same buttons. Can I buy one of those for 2-player fun?

Buying the Cube+games tomorrow. Oh, also 2 memory cards (1 251blocks).

Hm let's change the topic here. Ever had any good game deals?

Anyways, I didn't read the thread or anything, just wanted to point out how awesome that mat is.

All I know is that I had looked for DDR: Mario Mix for like 4 months and finally found it in a used game shop for $40. Picked it up without hesitation. Why is that game so rare??

That's actually a pretty fine point.
I mean you have Mario, undoubtedly the most popular video game character in history.
Than you have DDR, which is a tremendously popular franchise.

You combine the two, and you think you have a goldmine, but its actually one of the lower selling games for both parties involves.

Yay, I bought all that stuff today. :D

DDR:MM is fun, although one of my sisters liked it more than I did.
We now have these cool half purple, half transparant controllers.

I paid the kid €80 and asked him if he had €5 change. He didn't, so he walked with me to the nearest bank. That was very nice. :)

I still can't believe what an amazing deal that was.
