A platypus's venom isn't fatal. An eagle's talons are.

Most catch fish straight from the water. And if one can carry off a goat...

Although powerful enough to kill smaller animals such as dogs, the venom is not lethal to humans, but is so excruciating that the victim may be incapacitated

It IS lethal.

From wikipedia.

Dogs are bigger than the fish eagles catch.


In addition eagles cant cause as much damage as the platypus can to humans.

I still can't tell whether we are taking this literally or not. Technically I love the platypus. Technically I love the Philadelphia Eagles. Technically, the eagle would kick the platapi's ass.

In the end...

The best part about this tournament is that there is no criteria for voting.

Some people are voting who would win in a fight, others voting which one looks nicer. Others still vote based on how well they could make it across a street.
