Okay, so I just looked at my wall on facebook, and one of my friends posted a very strange message. I looked it up, word for word, and found information backing me up that I thought it was some sort of scam, but I want more opinions about it.

I also noticed that my friend posted the exact same thing on two other peoples walls. I was thinking that maybe someone hacked into my friend's account and posted that message on random walls of her friends on facebook. I'm not sure what's going on though.

Here is the message that was posted on my wall.

I think you will like this one. It's pretty cool and a little creepy haha. In your web browser, put the following into the address bar. Type in your favorite number between 1 and 999 and then type a dot and then type your favorite color and then type another dot and then type your favorite food and then type another dot and then type the word mestalkyou and then type .com and then hit enter. Let me know your results haha!

And here is the website that I found that sort of backs up my assumption.

Tell me what you think guys.

Sounds like one of those bot wall posts that somehow get sent around.

But yes, if it's saying put in the address "mestalkyou" I'd definitely go with scam, of some kind.

My brother-inlaw is a computer programmer, he just checked it out. This is what he said.

After some investigation it's just a way to get people to sign up for spam and crap. Might be some malware too--but I don't have adobe flash or quicktime or really any plugins installed.

Plus I'm using NoScript so the sites don't even *work* until I tell them they can.

I've learned over the years to be very cautious about this kind of stuff. I'm glad that it's becoming more instinctive.

My mom just told me the other day about someone who's Facebook account was hacked. And the hacker impersonated their victim and messaged one of the victim's friends for money. It worked too. You should call your friend or something and tell him to change his password. Or if it is him, tell him to stop send stupid-ass links around, lol.

Haha, I don't think it's the latter though. She's not the most tech savvy person. I will contact her though about that. I sent her a message earlier that I thought her account was sending spam messages to people. I figured it wasn't her doing though. Thanks for the tip.
