Don't know if this is just extended for the first ep in HD or what.

Flippin' sweet. I imagine that will stay. Probably meant to coincide with the now delayed digital switch, I guess. I laughed at many parts, but my favorite part is the new widescreen TV.

Speaking of which, the whole episode was widescreen, which screwed up the show just slightly with my crappy standard tv. I need widescreen 1080p now! Simpsons upgraded!

That is a great "now" intro (sans the couch thing which I imagine was just for this episode). TOOOMAAACCCOOOO!!!!

Would you agree with the general opinion that the quality of the show overall drops in later seasons?

Either have I. Sounds like some sort of half-rate, rip-off of The Simpsons.

Hm in the beginning everything was fresh and new. Now you can just see the Homer jokes coming from a distance.

The real humor now comes from the side characters. Moe, Ralph/Wiggum, Nelson, Milhouse, etc. etc., just great.

"Ralph wait! If you stop the car, I'll let you play with my gun!"

Man I've caught a few new episodes of this seasons Simpsons and they are terrible. Not as terrible as they were the past 3 years but they still suck.

I'm being harsh, but I just went through Seasons 1-13 this summer and most of that is gold (at least up through 10 and most of Season 11).
