Sometimes when I'm surfing, Firefox and Internet Explorer don't work anymore. No traffic at all, sometimes this lasts for more than a minute. I mainly use FF and it happens to all sites, including Google. I tried copying the url into IE, but IE didn't load the page either (although the webmail page that was open still works).
In the meanwhile, MSN works. Skype works. I get no error messages.
Sometimes I experience sudden lag in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, sometimes so bad that it kicks me out of the game. Do you think that could be the same problem?
I use a wireless network. Any ideas what this can be? (I guess I'll try plugging in the LAN cable again.)
No, I think SSBM online certifiably and quantifiably SUCKS.
At least, I can never get it working to an enjoyable level of play. The framerate's either godawful or my actions don't happen until 2 seconds after I initiate them.

SSBB is usually amazingly fast. If there is a 0.3 second lag, I got used to it. I guess I got lucky with my university LAN.

It's come to the point where I am without internet more than I am with. i.e. it's down most of the time. It goes like this: I can surf for 30 seconds, then I have to wait for a minute.
It's terrible. :( I now have the LAN cable plugged in, but that doesn't improve it.
Edit: Right now it's more like 10 seconds of internet, 2 minutes without it.
Also, am I supposed to have more than 8GB of temporary files?

Latest update: I've come to the conclusion that it is a FireFox problem. I'm posting with IE now, no problems so far. In the meanwhile, FF has been trying to load pages for 5 minutes.
Reinstall FF?
I think that's the best thing to do. You could try clearing private data first, maybe it'll help?

Aaaaaargh! Now it happens in Internet Explorer too! When I've just booted up IE, I can acces several websites, but after 4 pages or so, it just stops working.
I'm going to try internet without my router, so directly from the wall. This is nuts.

Have you scanned for viruses and stuff? Perhaps you're browser has been hijacked by malicious spyware?

Yeah I've scanned. It can't be that, especially because I reïnstalled Firefox.
The weird thing is... in the last hours I haven't had any problems. It's not only program specific, but also time dependant?
