Wait, come again? Wii sold 2.04 million in the U.S.?
Maybe if we weren't buying so many Wiis we would be able to pay off our home equity loans... AMERICA!

I would say get Mario Kart, but either way I completely agree with you.
Even in the hey days of the n64 and the Cube, Nintendo had some decent software lined up for the holidays. Wii Music and to a lessen extent Animal Crossing does not count as big holiday releases.
Outside of the first 4 months with Kart, Brawl, Okami, No More Heroes, etc.
This has been a pretty piss poor year for the Wii with only a scatter of decent software over the last 8 months.

Oh, so you're finally going to agree with me that Nintendo is sitting on it's arse. About time :p In all seriousness, though, you can get a Premium 360 with two games for less than the cost of a Wii if you wait for deals. Nintendo is milking this generation and they're not giving anything back to the consumer in terms of a quality product.

I've never disagreed with your assessment.
I disagree with the notion Nintendo hasn't done anything this generation.
Its been a weak year, but doesn't take away the gems such as TP, Corruption, Galaxy, Brawl, Kart, Strikers Charge, etc.
My problem has been they blew their wad too early. Third parties haven't jumped on in huge numbers. (Scary tangent, but the Wii now has a higher install base worldwide than the Ps3 and 360 combined so selling to even a smaller portion of the Wii audience would be a smarter decision than selling to a larger portion of either of the other two consoles)
I think 09 will be the year the Wii really shines as the line-up in my opinion is finally coming together with a solid slate of first and third party affairs.
But lets not just make this a Nintendo thread.
What does everyone think of the PS3? Now that I have it, I enjoy the console. I got into the Home Beta yesterday and I could honestly say I HATE it, its too grand... too complex for its own good.
