Hey guys,

My roommate's younger cousin has a project for his class and I think you guys could help out a lot. Instead of explaining, I'll just write what it says in the journal:

Dear Journal Buddy,

I am a sixth grade student at Springfield MIddle School in Oreland, Pennsylvania. Please help our class learn by writing in my journal about yourself, your town, your local environment, and any special facts about your area.

When you finish your entry in my journal, I'd appreciate it if you would do two or more things.

1. Send a picture postcard from your city, state or region to me at the address below letting me know that you are passing my journal along. My classmates and I will be tracking our journal journal on United States and World maps, so being able to visualize your region would be most helpful to us.
2. Pass my journal on to another friend in a different part of the country or world. You may mail my journal or hand it directly to another person.

Thank you for your cooperation. I really appreciate your taking the time to fill out my journal and pass it on to a responsible person. In May, please return my journal to me. I look forward to reading your journal entry.

SO, because I think this is a cool project and I want to help the kid out, I was wondering if you guys would help him out. I want to send it to you guys and hopefully have it circulate. I also would like to have it sent to Angrist, Bube and bobcat, and you guys could send it to others around the globe. I think it'd be really nice for the kid. So who's in? Post here if you're interested

I don't want to be a cheapo, but it depends on how much it costs. I'm a student with a big loan, I'm not going to spend (much) money on some kids schools project.

Of course I really like the idea. And I'd make it a nice few pages.
