As much as I like the news, even though it was expected a week ago with the announcement. It would be cooler for them to have announced it E3, as well as feature some games. I guess they have a bigger announcement.

Well IGN says that there will be announcements and discussions at E3 pretaining to Nintendo's online plans....so which one is right?? We'll find out soon enough.

Well, PS2's first online game is already out... Tony Hawk 3 :D it's kinda like NGC's PSO... PSO will be like the first and only online game out at the time the modem things are released, and it will probably stay that way for awhile... The only difference is PSO is like all online and Sony didn't release their official modem, you have to use a normal USB one :D

But the full PS2 online stuff should be out I think around fall this year... with more than just 1 game... I think :unsure:

I'm pretty sure Sony started up their broadband service stuff in Japan like yesterday or the day before or... sometime not too long ago or something :p

Well, I don't have a PS2 [yet], so I wasn't going to say for sure if it was out yet.. but it's only one game anyways.. :unsure:

Uhhh...The PS2 is officially going online in August, with a bunch of games...SOCOM: US Navy SEALS, Twisted Metal Black: Online, Frequency: Online...and I'm sure there's more...those are just the ones off the top of my head...then there's NFL2K3, NBA2K3 and NHL2K3 online in the fall...and Final Fantasy XI...and then Everquest...and Hot Shots Golf Online...

I believe the XBox is scheduled to go online in late summer or early fall, with its first online game to be Unreal Tournament. Should be nice. I'll be upgrading to broadband for that.:)
