Asking my brother right now if he wants to come with me.

Ok, he's considering it.

I saw your show starts at 10PM. What time will it end? If we're taking the train, we'll have to leave around 0AM...

I'd be tempted to go to the DC show if it weren't for the smoking ban in DC clubs.
What with the overwhelming scent of B.O. that now permeates the air...

And because if I even sensed that you recognized my presence, I would have to leave the venue immediately.

In my experience, European/UK shows usually start/end earlier than later. If we start at 10, our set is no longer than an hour and should be finished by 11.

San Francisco!

Chuck-ching!

How do GT members get to see you after the show? Won't the security personnel just toss me onto the curb?

Angrist

Just tell them you know the afro-guy. :D

Finished by 11, that's cool. I'm pretty sure I'll be there, but now I'm just trying to get my brother or a friend to tag along.

Oh and gz on the 5k posts!!!

Oh fuck yeah, The Media Club is literally one block from Propaganda Games. :D Never been there, but I've seen a lot of photos on facebook.

We'll definitely see you there!

Also, congrats on the 5000.

Attn: Phil,

If Jonads can't get into the Media Club, that means it's +19, which means it's not all ages.

Which means we're still sticking to the rule.

Love, Sean.

Haha...Typically 300 capacity clubs aren't that strict, and I'll probably just be hanging around after the show, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Too bad you're on the road again immediately after Vancouver.

How are we ever going to treat you to sushi and bubble tea?

Oh hey Germy, will I be able to buy your new CD in Paradiso? (I can't find the thread where you told us the release date.)

Oh and do you have any Nice And Nicely Done CDs lying around? How cheap can you sell those? :p

Reading one of the local papers here at work and come across a what they are listening to this week.

And one of the albums was Spinto Band's Moonwick or something along those lines.

Unless, another Spinto Band.

Sorry, I just saw this! As far as I know, we will have both CDs for sale at that time. It's a bit confusing because I know it comes out in the UK on September 22nd, but I'm not sure about the rest of Europe. We arrive in the London on the 21st and drive out/ferry to Europe so I'm not sure if we'll be able to pick up any CDs to sell by then. Either way, we'll at least have T-shirts!

--I'll see you in Madison, Yoda. Should be a good time. :)

Angrist

Ok, I got the tickets. :D My brother didn't want to travel that far, so I had to ask a friend. She doesn't know you, but I'm sure she'll like it. And I showed her your myspace.

So I'll probably be there around 9. Should I ask somebody to see you, or will you be walking around or something?

By 9 I'll probably be around either watching the other bands or getting ready to play. The Paradiso has a complicated dressing room, it's kind of in the basement, so if I'm not around I'm probably there. I'll definitely be out and about though.

Angrist

So do you want a small report or something? :D

A friend and me went to Amsterdam early, we got lost (but did not end up in the red light district), had a drink somewhere and went to Paradiso. We first walked around to see if Germy was somewhere to be found. He wasn't, so I told a woman at the reception that I was there to see one of the band members.
She asked me what my name was and I wondered if Germanator knew my irl first name. :p But I was the only one who was going to meet him, so I thought it wouldn't matter. I also hoped I remembered his first name right, Sam.

A few minutes later the woman got back with him. We talked about his tour, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, how long it had taken us to get there. How small and compact Holland is. How tired the whole band was and that they kept themselves going with espresso and beer. :D

The show was good, but I think the audience could have been a bit better at times. Like when the band told us that the following song was inspired by their last show in Paradiso (where we were).
Admittedly, some songs were better than others.

Oh, I LOVED how they kicked into Brown Boxes. :D:D First some unrecognizable guitar, then the epic kazoos. Awesome. I woohood.
I also supported Germy by asking for more of his frog sounds.

After they left, we wanted an encore so we kept clapping and cheering. Nothing came. :(

Bought both CDs from Germanator (who really is the errand boy), said goodbye.

Because of train delays, it took me 4 hours to get home.

I love the Paradiso and Amsterdam as a city. It's my third time there and I always have a good time. It's not even a drug thing because I'm not into that. I just like the lay out of the city and the bikes and the boats and the architecture...it's just neat.

That's funny. While I was looking for a concert of Marit Larsen in Rotterdam, I noticed the Spinto Band's performing there next Sunday.
