All of my residents have gone to laser tag for now. I am pretending to do work on the computer so I figured, I would write this up at the same time. The format will be weird for a well working on some ideas that may jump back and forth through time and viewpoints.

Faist
"Will you do this for us?"
"I don't see how I have an option in this matter."
"That is smart thinking. You didn't!"
"Though, I have to ask any of you three could pull off this job without breaking a sweat, why do you need me?"
"You are going to find out soon enough, but the job isn't important. We need you for a much grander vision."
"You are just a simple building block to the grand finale."
"Okay then..."
-----------------------------------------------
"Our boy seems to be in place."
"For his sake, let's hope he is good at following directions."
"Don't worry, we have a fail safe just in case."
-----------------------------------------------
He was not sure why he accepted this mission. While he knew why, there was no way he could say no to this group. If he did, not only would it be the end of his crime career but his life as well. Not that it had meant much so far. He was still a pretty low level theif trying to make a name for himself. How he popped up on their radar was beyond him, but still this was different.
The instructions were the most bizarre he could ever remember receiving. There were so many clauses for failure. The plan all seemed to lead up to him being caught eventually.
First part of the plan included him not taking out the guards until the silent alarm went off. From then, he had about 10 minutes before the response team was in full position.
Next, he slowly made his way into the bank disabling all of the security cameras. At this point, he was not even sure why. The alarm had been tripped and the cops were on their way, but he did as the instructions said.
Finally, he made his way to the vault. Now this was one of the more bizarre aspects of the heist as the money he was stealing added up to less than what he was getting paid to do this job. He was informed to only fill up a single bag and make his exit.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"This is going pretty well so far."
"The kid seems to be keeping schedule."
"Now if only our heroes would hurry up. It is time for their big dramatic entrance."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Now it was time for the getaway, and this threw him the most. It was spelt out clearly in the directions that he was not allowed to use his powers at all. His powers would have made the heist much easier and his escape almost child-play, but he had to play by the rules.
He made it to the door and he found as expected the place surrounded by cops. His benefactors had thought this through though and gave him some equipment to handle the situation. So he began lobbing grenades out at the cop cars.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
From a distance, they could see cars blowing up like a 4th of July celebration.
"There's the signal. The boys should be on their way any second now."
"Shall we get ready to greet our old friends?"
"Of course, it has been too long!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey friendo, it looks like we got an emergency coming in." Swan informed Fox as he listened in on the radio broadcast.
"I guess we will have to delay this hunt for a bit. Does it say what is going on?"
"Something about a bank robbery. They have the crook pinned down but he is lobbing grenades into the cars."
"Anything about hostages?"
"It seems... yeah.. he has not taken anyone hostage, but there are people in the building with him."
"Okay, I have a plan but let's get to the bank."
Fox turned the car around.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, he thought to himself. Everything had gone almost according to plan. Now, there was to be some diversion to allow him to escape any second now. He waited and nothing. Maybe, they were running behind. He could do some improv, but that would void his contract.
Where were they? They promised they would get him out of this.
Then from the corner of his eye, he swore he saw movement. He turned around quickly, but no one seemed out of place. He turned back around, the cops had recovered and began to fire a hail of bullets in his direction. SHIT! he was done for now.
Then he saw it again. He turned around this time to see that one of the customers were coming at him. He could not allow for some hero hostage to ruin this for him so he charged at the man gun waving in the air.
"I don't think you will be using that," said the hostage as he inched closer.
He held the gun more steady, "Back away man!" Then the hostage was close enough. He knocked the gun out of the man's hand before he knew what happened.
"How the hell did you do that?" his expression frozen on his face.
The hostage revealed his true form, "Oh its what I do." Fox said coyly.
"You! But how? Those bastards set me up! You were the catch."
"What the hell are you talking about? Who set you up?"
"I would rather take my chance with them!" The man turned in the opposite direction and began to head for the storm of bullets.
As he rushed through the door, he found his entrance blocked by what appeared to be a giant curtain. The curtain began to move and wrap itself around the theif.
"I hope you weren't planning on going anywhere enemya! I say we got the situation all wrapped up." Swan laughed at his own corny joke.
"I'll check on everyone...." Before Fox could finish the sentence he felt a blow that took the breath out of him.
"What's the matter fri..." This time it was Swan who felt the blow.
As both heroes tried to catch their breath, they were assaulted with several other rapid succession jabs.
Finally, they crumpled to the floor in pain.
"Now now, doesn't this seem familar." Dyne said as he entered the bank.
"The two of you on the ground and us above you. What has it been? 3 years or so?" Typhoid taunted.
Dylflon walked over to the fallen Swan and Fox, "And remember that promise we made? I think its time we cashed it in!"
