And by "I", I actually mean "Brett Favre"
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8381934/Favre-out:-Packers-trade-legend-to-Jets

Not sure I agree with this choice, if he even had a choice in the matter. Of all the teams out there he goes to the Jets?

Although it's also worth noting that the only source thus far is Fox Sports, and if their sports division is anything like their news division then I don't exactly have much faith in the reliability of the story.

What a slap in the face to Favre (and his fans). Poor guy :(

This is so stupid. What was he thinking?

Sorry Bond. When I heard about this I immediately thought of you... which is admittedly a little creepy.

When I first read this I laughed. Tsk tsk, he should have just shut his pie hole and stayed retired.

I also thought of Bond first.
But just because I can't wait for the breakdown.
Bond probably drank himself to sleep last night.

Nice lolcatz reference.

Favre didn't have much choice in the matter. How many teams were willing to shell over a 2nd-3rd rounder for a 38 year old QB making an 8 figure salary?

:lolz:

My dad is a huge Packer fan and we know someone who works for the Jets...Looks like we might be going up to the Meadowlands for a few Sundays maybe..

On SportsCenter last night, they were showing the comparison between Favre and the quarterback for the Jets last year.

Jesus, what a difference.

No response from Bond yet?

He probably left the internets for good.

haha, Green Bay gave Favre THE SHAFT!

after this trade I do believe that the packer's organization was pressuring Favre to retire at the end of last season. Oh man, that's funny as fuck though...the jets.

oh well, can't win 'em all.

Bond,

1-800-SUICIDE

Just in case.

Eh, who am I kidding. They probably already found Bond hanging in his garage, stool tipped over, pants down. At least he won't have to watch Favre play a season with the Jets.

Bond, yesterday you were on Xbox Live....

I checked out your profile....

It says you were playing Madden 2008...

Please tell me you weren't reliving Brett's glory days in a Packers uniform.:ohreilly:

I was actually trying to see if I could live with him being in a Jets uniform. Wasn't as bad as I thought.

I'm really not a fan of anyone in Packers management right now. The person I like the most is actually Ted Thompson, which probably says something as to how much I dislike McCarthy and Murphy.

And I don't think Rodgers is going to be a good QB. Maybe mediocre, but not much more. I think Brohm has a brighter future than Rodgers, but I could be wrong.

Favre played for the Packers for sixteen seasons. Sixteen! And almost always at an above-average level. You just don't find that in the NFL anymore. You just don't find a player like Favre anymore. That's why I think you have to stay with him until he's completely done.

Green Bay was horrible before Favre came, and national media attention was at an all-time low. Favre brought the Packers back to the national stage. He's a tremendous asset to the franchise.

Someone on Digg posted this comment, I thought it was funny as hell:

They will be sitting in row 38 section 5.

My first thought when I heard this was "I feel sorry for Bond".

My second thought when I heard this was "lol".
