You find feathers near a giant hole in the floor.

I'm thinking the feathers are the Dog (from Duck Hunt, duck feathers). I'm not as sure about the hole in the ground, but I think it could be from the gravity hammer?

I guess we will go to Planet Zebes next, unless we want to make a guess? If we make a guess, I would guess Toadsworth with the Gravity Gun at 2Fort, but that's just me.

I believe you are right on the feathers being the dog, however i looked for footage on both the gravity gun and the gravity hammer and none of them look like they would make large holes in the ground, the blue shell on the other hand makes perfect sense.

I believe that what we found here is The Dog and the blue shell.

I agree on going for your guess of toadsworth + gravity gun + 2 fort.
