If a new Mario adventure isn't revealed, I'll gladly put my Wii up on Craigslist or eBay
Either present epic, 10.0-rated games or I'm through with this.

Good point. This is coming up soon? Haven't heard a thing about it.
Yeah, it starts this Monday.
Seems to be the least hyped E3 in years. No one is very excited by my judgment.

I've been excited about it actually.
God what I would kill for a new Zelda game.
Hopefully some more stuff on MadWorld too please?
I'd hate to see that take the same fate that H.A.M.M.E.R. did.
I'm going to make a call here.
New version of DS.

They gotta have something to show off with the new motion sensor.

A new Mario Golf. Calling it.
Dyne better get the lube out.
Mario Golf doesn't exist any more. :( Unless they start it up again with a half-assed developer.

Don't look at me. I don't like Mario Golf.
Now Mario Tennis....
Animal Crossing 2.0 was just (officially) announced.

As was Wiispeak
seems to be some type of microphone for the Wii for voice chat.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Rayman, and Call of Duty: World at War.
No surprises so far.

Thus far, it has been a repeat of last year with the bragging.
I hope they got something.
GTA game for DS? That should be unique...

Does any of that stuff look like things that weren't already possible with the Wiimote as it is now? It was all pretty basic.
Not another music game... Wii Music. I wish this fad would end soon.

And notice the foot pad thing that guy was using for the drums? I wonder if that was the wii fit pad?
I'm also sick of all the accessories you need for every new game. Here in a few years when the Wii's life is over, everyone is going to have a closet full of white plastic junk that they wonder why they bought.

Probably the most boring press conference ever. It was more of an attempt to get third party publishers to take notice of their system and technology and start making some games for it than it was a real display of innovation.
Well, that's it.
Biggest announcement was a GTA game coming to the DS.
Vampyr, I agree. The "press conference" was more like a "board room meeting."

Those wishing for a new Zelda were perhaps wishing for too much.
I heard exactly what I want to hear -- Wii Sports 2 (Wii Resort) is coming out. That's all I've really wanted since launch, and that 1-to-1 movement looks smooth.

Underwhelming, at best.
It will be interesting to see if GTA: Chinatown Wars is a "toned-down" version of GTA for the DS, or if it will be a true GTA like on the PSP.
I'm not so sure if a true GTA game is possible on the DS though, so maybe it will be a return to 2D.

I was just reminded why I chose the PS3 (360 would have been my other option) over Wii. Wii has a lot to offer as a console, just something different than I want in gaming. For parties, social gatherings etc. it can be a lot of fun. At the same time, I lost interest in Wii Sports after 3 times playing it. Mario was fun from the limited time I had with it, but it seems Nintendo is really focusing in on the "Wii ____" brands.
Compare them to other games we've seen on the PS3/360 like Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Resident Evil 5, Gears 2, Uncharted 2 (hasnt been shown, yet) and you just don't have a contest from my point of view.
However, I will say that Nintendo has done about as well as possible capturing the new casual gamer and in effect profited tremendously. Smart business model.

Terrible conference
Worse than the Pacman VS conference?
It was quite underwhelming.

Not even a Kid Icarus??? They needed a serious game badly.
Dissappointing.

When they first showed the Jedi game, I was stoked because I figured they would announce it was using the new 1-to-1 device.
Alas, that would be too clever of a move for Nintendo.

I saw that happening too. The DS is nowhere near capable of having that open world on a big scale like that.
Nintendo also failed to show anything with regards to gameplay for it.
Nintendo just failed for this whole press conference. Seriously. I think they're running out of ideas.
Shaun White Snowboarding partially interested me. If that. Not being able to jump on the balance board is gonna cause some quirky control stuff when playing in game, leading to sub-par gameplay IMO.

Iwata said The mario and Zelda studios are still hard at work on new iterations. Its just they apparently werent ready to show them.
