I expected as much. McCarthy has to keep the team rolling....it wouldn't be very professional to let Favre come and go like that.
McCarthy has no power, it's all Ted Thompson.
To TT's house! Viva la Favre!

Clearly his only option is to play for the Cleveland Browns.

I'm sorry Bond, there seems to have been a misunderstanding. Apparently you're under the impression that we cared.

I apologize? If you don't care you didn't have to post in the thread that you didn't care about.

Brett Farve is an idiot for coming back like this.
I lost a lot of respect for him, he has nothing left to prove, this is just going to tarnish his legacy.

I hate this Jeremy Roenick way of getting out of a contract agreement.

He was probably always a pathetic douchebag - just the fact he was good at Football and didn't want to move his family far away so he stayed in one city made the allure that he was much more than a pathetic douchebag.

I just think it will be funny to watch Brett throw a 4 INT game as a Chicago Bear or Minnesota Viking in Lambeau...Will the fans cheer? Boo? Either way, wouldn't it be insulting? I look forward to this.

That is so not a funny image, Germy!
At least I have tickets to the home opener... I guess.

The Bears don't want his ass. I'm sorry we have Kyle Orton...who is young...and not coming and going from retirement. :p

So am I.
Why? He tied Roethlisberger with most games won as a rookie in his first season, 9 or 10 I think. They weren't the most pretty games, and he got most of his help from Thomas Jones and the Bear's insanely good defense that year. But, unlike Grossman, he shows mobility in the pocket, consistency, and improvement. He's no Romo or Roethlisberger, but I think he could turn out to be a decent QB. And, if not, then the Bears are in the same position they have been in for the past oh....15 years.
We are approaching mid-July quickly, and preseasons will be starting soon. I don't care how legendary Favre is, I don't know what he expected to happen at this point in the year.
Don't the Bears only have Orton signed for one more year anyway?

I'm not sure what's going on with his contract, I just know that Grossman will be back for another season. But Orton threw 3 or 4 really consistent games at the end of last season, I'll be surprised if he doesn't start.

Oh no, we want him. Just so we can get back for them picking up Jim McMahon up at the end of his time.

I just hope he goes to an NFC North team. That would make for some interesting games that would otherwise not be worth watching.

It was a light hearted joke.

So....what's going on? They're letting Favre show up to training camp so he shuts up? But they won't release him or let him go anywhere? Apparently the Bucs and the Jets are "talking" to Favre. I fail to see how this is news unless Favre actually gets to play this year. ;)
