Cause I'm curious.

Really people? you use Black and Green?

It must be the old timers who have gotten used to that color scheme. Light colors ftw.

The white and green to me, looks really meh.
I like the black and green.

I like the layout a lot better than the other one.
The drop bars, the way it actually displays new threads for me, instead of only selectively displaying them.

Now, if the Green and White colour scheme, had the same layout as the black and green, I might think entirely differently.

The green and white has drop bars as well, no?

Green and White.

I would be using Green and Red right now if it was possible. :(

Green and white is lame. Black is the way to go.

Green and Black. Looks more professional...though like that matters. Easier on the eyes. Homey and comforting...like sucking on the bosom of a lactating baboon as she hums "You Can't Stop The Beat" on a cliff-side cave overlooking the ocean at sunset while little dinosaurs play volleyball on the beach down below.

Maybe my computer just doesn't like green and white, then.

You mean when you click on someone's username and click on stuff like "Quick Links" and such?

Yes.

I go with green and white 'cause it's easier to read and navigate. Feels more legit too.

Green and black. What can I say? We old folks are set in our ways.

I tied it 6-6. I use green and white because it's a little more compact. The black one has all these extra borders in post boxes.

The green and black has a wierd background on my moniter, it like streaks or something, plus like every other site I go to has a black background.

Don't want to be a humbug, but I don't like either too much, although I use the green and black. It's just that the green and black is very alien and futuristic looking, and it's such a popular free style that tons of people have it, and the green white is nice, but not too original. Neither really have a "tavern" feel.

I always thought that brown and gold would be nice, or red and gold.

Or that old rainbow colored GameTavern theme. Anyone still have a screenshot of that?

Red and gold, or brown and gold would look really tacky.

Yeah, if the person making it didn't know what they were doing or didn't have any artistic talent.

I think gold is a bad colour choice.

I'd go with a light version of both colours.
Like, a really pale red, outlined possibly by a deeper red, and instead of gold - because gold is overdone everywhere, a really pale yellow.

Green and black. I still think a orange and white would be cool :P

Orange and White or Red/White/Gra(e)y

A darkish brown resembling wood would fit the tavern motif nicely. Perhaps each "shelf" could physically resemble wooden shelves. The forums themselves could be clickable bottles on these shelves. But with only two per shelf might not look as nice as it could would more. The parchment looking background on WOW's site might be nice for post backgrounds.

Which do you use, Bond?

After you fixed the spoiler tags.. I tried out green and black. It's actually not too shabby. Hmm.

Here's a very pretty brown one that I now of. It's for Invasion Boards, but they aren't too different.

I know of another one that's red and gold and very cool looking, but that site seems to have exceeded it's bandwidth at the moment. I'll post a link to it when it comes back up.

I find it to be easier on the eyes.

Something I whipped up really quickly. Background doesn't look as good as it did in Photoshop though. :ohreilly:

That's one I can think of off the top of my head, but I've seen several others.

I seem to recall Neo using it because it was free.

Edit: Nevermind, it's $30 on the extremepixels web page. I guess a lot of people just choose this one for some reason.
