I need help brainstorming ideas for a domain name for a website I'm creating. I haven't bought the hosting yet, but as soon as I come up with a name that I like, I'm going to.
The name needs to be one that doesn't reference something in particular, because the website isn't about anything particular. Mostly it's just a place for me to work on my web programming projects. I will probably start a blog on it, host some of my photoshop stuff, maybe even a comic strip. The majority of the posts will be technology oriented, though, so a name that sort of implies (but doesn't necessitate) a tech website is fine.
Also, if you want to recommend something, it'd be nice to type it in your location bar first (or awesome bar, if you're on firefox 3 :D) and make sure it isn't already registered or owned by someone.
One that I'm currently considering is www.rubyvial.com. But I'd like some ideas first, even if they're just words you think sound cool that I could put with another word to make a domain.
Thanks,
Vamp
Actually, I quite like rubyvial.

Make up a word. Or a portmanteau.

Good idea, but I also want it to be something people have an easy time remembering and spelling.
And that's another vote for rubyvial!

www.portmanteau.com!

Registered, lol. Otherwise, I would have a great and unexpected Natalie Portman fansite.
you can use http://tosdomains.net to check. Just because a website isn't active doesn't mean the domain isn't tied up.
I would suggest carnivial, but it too has been registered.

Pretty cool, but overdoing it a little. www.moonsteel.com isn't bad, though.

www.2squirrels1nut.com
(Holy crap, it's a real website. Don't click it, I have no idea what's on it. I'm just amazed it's actually a site, after I thought I was brilliant to come up with it.)

:lolz: "Dat's only in da morning. You 'posed to be up cooking breakfast fo' somebody, so dat's like an alarm clock -- WOO WOOOOO!"
Oh Bubb Rubb and the leprachaun. Those classics never get old. That Latarian Milton kid is new to me, and awesome. I want to grow up to be him.

You guys know that part from Eurotrip??
Where that foreign guy was feeling that Scottie guy up, and then he was like: "mi scusi, mi scusi"?
Maybe that would be a good domain name..
