View Full Version : Where are the reviews for Rock Band Wii?

None of the significant sites have reviews for Rock Band Wii. This is unacceptable!
Aren't reviews supposed to come out a few days before the game is released?

Depends if they get advance copies I think.

Maybe this is why? (http://www.cubed3.com/news/10321)

Probably because it's crap compared to the 360/PS3 versions. All they did was pretty up the PS2 version and offload it to the Wii. So...yeah. That explains it all.
Well, my cousins are buying it because they only have a Wii. I'll probably be trying it out soon.

Maybe there's no review for it because there is no real point in reviewing a game that has been out for months upon months.

If it's going from something like a PS3/360 --> DS/PSP, then yes. There will be a difference.
But this is like porting (porting?) Guitar Hero. It's a game that relies on the physical, and audio, not the graphics.
I can sum up every future review of Rock Band for the Wii, right now:
-No glitches.
-The same feel as the other ones, except graphics are sub-par compared to them.
-Downloadable Content done well.
What more can you say about something that's exactly the same.

So you think the Track Pack disc is a good thing? It does have a weird selection.

It does have a fixed selection.
Don't lie birdy! You said it yourself that day! :D

-Impossible, there's always a glitch somewhere. :lolz: I wish I never learned to find them so well. :(
-Spot on.
-No downloadable content on Wii at all. (Well, until the Hard Disk attachment comes into the light so we actually have SPACE to download stuff, hahaha.)

Renwood, while you may find this funny, it's in violation of our forum rules, which are setup to protect members. Our rules are quite lax if I do say so myself, and we try to give everyone an opportunity to contribute (for example, we allow HTML, trusting that no one would post anything malicious).

OK OK. The song choices suck for the most part. I mean seriously, Live Forever over Wonderwall? Dumb move.

We know that it's because they want to sell the first disc a lot while the consumers are thirsty for all the songs before they give out all the good songs that everybody will want more.

I'm sure people will buy the crap music while demand is high. That won't happen later on, especially as more options present themselves.

Go look at the requirements for GH3 on the PC. Insane requirements for a game like that. Though they did choose to lazy port the 360 version instead of scaling it between either PS2/Wii graphics or 360/PS3 depending on your system.

That wouldn't be scaling. That would be choosing between FMV's and actual models.
Or was that Rock Band
