I started playing Pokemon Diamond on my camping trip and I quite literally can't get enough of it. :) I really couldn't figure out what to do, but I eventually learned that you need to talk to the team galactic guy in the southern-most town to lead you to the lake, and THEN you get the psyduck medicine.
Anyways, I played it saturday and sunday on camping, and then yesterday I played it literally from 5 o'clock to 3 am. (Sunday night was Paper Mario and MGS4). I definitely picked up where I left off. I honestly can tell you that I stopped playing as soon as I started at Propaganda. :lolz: Poor Pokemon has been lying dormant, waiting for my obsession again, which has turned out to be more than a year.
Anyways, the final thing I did last night was evolve my eevee (which I got from my friend a year ago in an egg) into Glaceon. It was trying all night to evolve into Umbreon, but I didn't let it because Umbreon pretty much sucks, as I remembered from Gold/Silver. Glaceon is MUCH better. I went to the big store in that casino city and bought Blizzard TM, and I also taught it "Hail" which I had already. It learns both around level 60/70.. so why not now? I can't figure out what other moves to do, but it's really nice to have both a water pokemon and an ice pokemon.
Anyways, my pokemans. Let me show you them.
Glaceon (http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/glaceon) - Ice
Golem (http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/golem) - Rock/Ground (heavy consideration of replacement)
Staraptor (http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/staraptor) - Flying
Torterra (http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/torterra) - Grass / Ground
Luxray (http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/luxlar) - Electric (with some Dark moves)
Golduck (http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/golduck) - Water (with some Psychic moves)
They're all 31-35 right now. I think I've done pretty well on picking up again. Things I'm pushing towards: I don't really want Golem anymore now that Torterra is Ground type. I have no real need for rock type now. I forecast that Staraptor might be up for consideration of replacement, but stats-wise he's holding his own for the tier he's battling and usually KOs, especially now that he has Close Combat, Aerial Ace, and Take Down. I've taught thunder to Luxray, but I think I might end up with just Thunderbolt for him.
I don't really miss fire types but it wouldn't hurt to replace golem with something of a fire type. I COULD replace Staraptor with Moltres, but I don't even know if it's in this version. I'm thinking I'll replace Golem with a legendary type when I get one.
Essentially though, my team is pretty good. The only pokemon I have trouble KO'ing is Bronzor (http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/bronzor) because it's a son of a bitch who doesn't react to Ground moves. I usually wash him away with Golduck's surf three times though.
