Super Smash Bros Tourney

The time has come for the Brawl for them All.
The Grand-Daddy.

This will be a single elimination tourney.
The rules are 4 stocked, no time matches. Items/no items are really up to the participants. Though if no agreement can be reached, it will be items.

The tourney will work over the course of about a week and a half to make sure everyone has time to get their games in. And you don't have to stick with the schedule if possible.

The first round will begin today June 11th and go until June 13th at 8PM EST. From there every round shall be two days.

Winners and losers must post in this thread to confirm the details. Unless said participant isn't a part of these forums and have a proxy. (I can vouch for one and I think Bluefire can vouch for one or two)

This was done on a random tourney generator program. And right now we have 15 participants. So either someone else enters, we have a bye or I may enter.

But tend to avoid taking part in things I run so no conflicts.

Yeah, I really don't expect to win either. When I signed up my Cube controller wasn't broken and I've basically never played SSBB with the Wiimote. Not that it's a bad controller set up, I'm just not used to it.

It was two titans going at each other in mortal kombat. Bowser (Dyne) vs. Ganondorf (me). After an early lead from Bowser, Ganondorf had his work cut out for him. With one life left to Bowser's two, a miraculous move by Bowser dodges the Dragoon ship and dodges the game evening blow. But a quick follow up move by Ganondorf takes Bowser out anyway, letting Bowser know that he means business.

Then in an amazing turn of events, Ganondorf kicks Bowser over the edge and with the help of a little lag, prevents Bowser from grabbing the edge hold, thus ensuring a victory by Ganondorf!!



So long story short, I won.

Then Bluefire has won and will face the winner of Lunar/GM which will take place tonight.

Bluefire says he will most likely take on the winner tonight. And if he wins again, he will endure the BlueFire Challenge for his place in the Finals.

Well, you can't take part in the tourney.

But you can take part in a VERY special part of the tourney.

It is called the Gauntlet.

And since Yoda was such a huge fan he shal join bluefire.

All they need to do is play 15 matches while losing only a total of 16 lives or less. If they survive, they can continue into the finals. If they lose, well they know not to piss me off. :p

1)If you and BF decide to forgo this challenge and play the finals anyhow. You will both be DQed. And well by default. I would declare a winner and no one wants that.
2) It can be 1 on 1. 2 on 1. 3 on 1. I don't care just as long as it is 15 matches.
3) Must be against humans.
4) If you are defeated. The person who defeats you takes your spot in the finals.
5) The person who gets the 17th KO also takes your spot in the finals.

According to BaB, it will be three matches.. 1 timed, 1 stock, 1 timed stock (don't ask me). You ok with this? I'm fine with going ahead with the tourney, ignoring this silly challenge. They had their finals series and Bluefire somehow pulled it out.

This tourney was sort of a trainwreck, no?

So thinking of doing another one later on in the month. Giving everyone the head's up so they can tell me what works and doesn't work for them. Also may be changing the formula up a bit.

And just so you folks don't need to worry, Bluefire won't be in the next tourney. He has taken himself out.

And instead, we decided would be cool if winner of first tourney (BF) took on winner of the second tourney in a GT challenge.
