Beyond Good and Evil for GameCube came in the mail today. I played BG&E on Xbox in 2004, and I remember enjoying it, but I've some amnesia on the details. The graphics have held up well. I like the art style. The voice acting and music are both pleasing too. I haven't gotten very far into the game.
I know the game supports Progressive Scan, but holding down B, A, or B and A, during start-up hasn't brought up the option. Still looks good for 480i so its not something I'm overly concerned about.

I tried to play more Lost Odyssey last night and the boss killed me in three hits because I didn't grind enough killing rats. I tossed the game back in its case. Stupid piece of shit.

Nice. Are you playing on a Wii or Gamecube? I think the option should come up automatically on Wii if your Wii is set to 480p by default.

Wii. Nothing pops up. Set to 480p and 16:9
Stupid French GD
Hmm. Yeah, if you hold B it should show up.

It may be my timing. I hold it down as I press start from the Disc Channel. Perhaps the controller doesn't register that button being held down until the Wii has booted into Gamecube mode. I tried once before justing getting on with the game to hold b as soon as the black screen popped up after booting, but no dice.
Never mind, it doesn't support 480p nor 16:9, according to my handy-dandy Gamecube 480p/16:9/PLIIx list (which I got off of GAF years ago.) It does support Pro Logic IIx though.

The internet lied to me. This has never happened before. I am so confused.

It means he will be the next President, mamma.
It means we're in for half a year of non-substantive socialistic banter.

As opposed to four years of non-substantive fear mongering.

edit: I feel bad for you that you have no interest in politics. But it doesn't matter. You vote for who you're told to and it serves our purpose.
The Democrats play just as much fear mongering as the Republicans. It's called class warfare.
If we aren't able to elect a president within the next 25-50 years that can truly be bipartisan and get legislation passed, our country is going down the shitter. The era of statesmen is over, and the ear of the permanent campaign has begun.

Yes, pity me. I'm quite jealous that you're such a good American. And no, I don't vote for who I'm told, I vote simply for who seems cooler which was Obama. If you wanna keep throwing your pity at me and act pretentious I'll throw my "precious" vote at McCain. Like I give a shit.

time to play more BG&E and bring real-world hope to my digital animal friends
But seriously, if we can't control our spending, shrink our government, and stop intervening in every single foreign policy issue, our empire is done. This is how all great empires end, and this is most likely how ours will end, unless its course can be altered dramatically.

Control our Spending - Agree, but since neither side is interested in that, I'd rather spend too much money on social programs than foreign wars. Feel free to disagree. Your right to do so.
shrink government - neither candidate will do this.
stop intervening - this is what the U.S. does now. Not going to change. Once the global community started, its not going to end
empire - no comment
so, given that neither candidate will truly do anything, I'd rather look at the one that's pretty and sounds nice than the one that's ugly and bumbles. Presidents are puppets. No reason I can't have a eloquent mouthpiece.
It's like having a good announcer in Street Fighter.
I disagree with your view of the global community. The global community should be a community of economics, not of war and intervention. True economic globalization is the ticket to world peace.

A lot of things "should" be that are not. If you want to argue "shoulds," you can address a lot of the world's issues, daddy.
So about that forward button...
