My Dearest Friends,

Only two short months ago our great nation, GameTavern, was on the brink of extinction. We were suffering an all time low of daily posts, active members, and new threads created. A strategic battle plan was crafted to combat this plague, and today, we are proud to say that we are winning the war on inactivity.

We have had the first free and fair election in our nation's history, with thatmariolover being elected as Moderator of the Happy Hour forum. BreakABone was also appointed Moderator of the Video Gaming forum. Under their combined stewardship, our two primary forums have a bright future ahead of them.

We have also had a new forum game, TavernWars, run by BaB and Swan. Several members participated in the game, with the United Nations eventually prevailing in victory. Dylflon has stepped up to the plate to run our new forum game, Mafia: LOST. It is sure to be an enjoyable experience.

We have seen a marked rise in new members, active members, new posts, and threads created. My friends, let me share with you some startling statistics from only a year ago, in total posts per month:

January 2007 - 540
February 2007 - 263
March 2007 - 709
April 2007 - 556
May 2007 - 437
June 2007 - 392
July 2007 - 1641
August 2007 - 1975
September 2007 - 548
October 2007 - 438
November 2007 - 603
December 2007 - 662
January 2008 - 958
February 2008 - 707
March 2008 - 844

And now, the last two months:

April 2008 - 3389
May 2008 - 4084

Soon, GameTavern will see an increase in the number of styles available, introducing greater choice to the community. There is a bright future ahead. My friends, why would we ever want to return to where we were only a few short months ago?

United we stand, divided we fall.

Warmest Regards,
Bond

I remember coming home having been gone all day and checking GT only to see like 2-5 new posts for the entire day. It was depressing. I guess the winter months found most of us in hibernation.

What happened in April? OH WAIT! I STARTED POSTING A LOT HERE! :lolz: j/k I'm not taking credit.

I'm glad to see this place back on track with plenty more posts each month. I can't imagine this place in its slow periods :(

Since everyone else is taking credit...

This all started in April.. My birthday.
Continued after I became a mod.
Was propelled by TavernWars which served more than one master.
New and old member drive.
And some secret doings.

So you are all welcomed! Even the Canadians and Flunkie

We don't know. We tried contacting him several ways. I guess he just likes real life more. :(

He still pays the bills right?

Apparently he paid the bills for the next 5 years because GT hasn't gone down yet.
