Does anyone else miss Lamarr? When she jumped into that rocket and got launched into a super portal, I couldnt help but feel sad.

Yea...that was the end of Lamarr forever im afraid. We can only hope she makes a triumphant return someday...

was Lamarr a girl, though?

Ya, HL2 is amazing. And they dont know if Lamarr is a girl or if headcrabs even have genders, we will just assume that she is a girl.

Lamarr is a pretty cool guy she fights aliens and doesn't afraid of anything

Actually I'm really dissapointed by HL2. There were a couple of fun levels (boat/car), but most of it was quite boring.

The vehicle sections were the worst.

They were awesome. I don't really like following this very tight and illogical path through an environment. Sure, it sometimes provides some nice gameplay elements, but after playing HL1 it's nothing new or really fun.

So there's this fence that's electrically charged. You can see the wire running into a near window. I pick up a saw blade and shoot through the wire. Doesn't work. So I have to go back, go through many rooms with all the doors locked except 2, so I can find and flip the switch.

HL2 kind of had the same problem as HL1: the last levels. They were so different that it wasn't any fun. Oh and HL2 stole all my weapons incl. ammo, which I was saving for some kind of epic boss fight. :(

Did you pay any attention to the story at all? Because thats one of the main things about Half-Life. And who needs weapons and ammo when you have a super charged Zero Point Energy Field Manipulator.

The Gravity Gun was fun for a while, but I hated getting hit by bullets, just because the gun didn't work from far away.

I like to play my games perfectly. Minimal damage, always carrying maximum ammo. Yeah, it's a pain in the ass to play it like that. :(

The story was decent. Not half as compelling as in HL1. (Same with the environments btw.) Weird ending though. I wonder what Episode 1 and 2 will bring. Don't worry, I will play them. (So don't spoil anything!)

Wow, I am amazed Adam has not teleported over there and mauled you yet

Gravity Gun > Half-Life 1

Half-Life 1 > Half-Life 2

not sure how my math works out but it does

I just finished Episode 2. Prepare for unforeseen consequences. Ouch.

I'm pretty sure I'll get Episode 3 if the reviews are good. No news on when to expect that game btw?

When I started with Episode 1, I hated it. It got better near the end, but some levels were too long and too lonely. Ep2 was better, although I thought the cavern level was very boring.
shooting on your own... until recently.
