I already beat the game.
Meh.
I think re-releasing a game on a new system, not within a month or two of the initial release is a terrible, lame idea.
The game has no hyper after that. It's old news.

I agree but I mean on the same hand, it is something for PS3 gamers to get. But yeah a full year after release and little word on new content really doesn't make sense.
But I own a Wii, you get use to getting year old ports with no real merits. :(

Okami might be one of the few examples where a very late port is justified.

It's good for the PS3 owners who have never played Bioshock before, or don't have a 360. They'll definetly be in for a treat. I loved the game but I can't bring myself to ever play it again though.

Good news for PS3-only people. I hope there's not very many of them.

I've played through it twice. Damn fine game.
Even though there are many plasmids to choose from, I found myself picking the same ones that I did the first time through. I definitely did not feel the same anticipation and excitement when I already knew the storyline. Still a solid shooter though though.
Good for PS3 owners, a good addition to any game library.

I did enjoy the hell out of the game, one of the best storys to ever grave a video game. The best part was when
*spoilers
In the realization you remember that there was a gun in the present from your "parents" with the note "Dear son, would you please?" attached.
*spoilers
Fucking brilliant.

I remember running around with a wrench killing the big daddies. The game sets the right moods, some awesome concepts, but the wrench. It's the best weapon.....hit=>die=>hit=>die=>win
The only game that has actually scared me. When I was first playing it on was on the edge of my seat scared of anybody to pop out.
Damn Fox, I need to borrow that againt o beat it

I can't say was too scared playing this game. The 3 scariest games that I've played are Doom 3, Clive Barker's Undying, and FEAR.

Aliens vs Predator was the scariest game for me. Damn those facehuggers. :(

scariest part in Bioshock is when you go into the room with the "statues" and get the objective or whatever and when you turn around their poses have all changed and they've moved around.

The scariest part of Bioshock, is just Bioshock. The whole feeling of it is just creepy. Not scary, but creepy. It's so closed in, silent, and the feel of it is just so good.
The thing I found creepier than others though, was the Plastic Surgeon. Everything to do with him. His rationale for why he does what he does, his little notes and audio-tapes. Everything.

Totally forgot about him for a sec, hands down. Close second is Cohan, who wants you to finish his "masterpeice".....

Bioshock is one of the most overrated games ever. I rented it and got a few hours into it and it was just very boring. Its was pretty sure, but overall a very boring and mindless FPS.
I would say the original Silent Hill is the scariest game ever...those ghost babies...

It's hardly a "mindless fps".
A mindless fps would be Halo, Battlefield 2, etc.
This game has such a huge, elaborate, intricate storyline that if you don't appreciate storylines - well, the game won't be good to you.

Even deeper than the story, were the ideas behind it. If you look at it as a shooter, it was as mindless as shooters get, with almost no variety in enemies. But as a whole package, it deserved every award it got.
It's very open-ended in terms of gameplay too. I think the RPG elements really helped.

I wouldnt say Bioshock is open ended at all. I thought it was actually very linear, which isnt necessairly a bad thing, but it was in the case of bioshock because the gameplay was so repetitive. Thats the thing, you have to have both a good story and the gameplay to back it up, and Bioshock just didnt have the gameplay. Thats why the Half Life series is the best FPS out there right now, the gameplay is stellar, and the story is intriguing and complex.

It's a game that should be played through. The atmosphere is wonderful.
I'm looking forward to what Ken Levine works on next. Not BioShock 2, but a new IP.

Anyone else wanna see way to play System Shock 2 again? I've tried time and time again to get it working but it got owned if you didn't use specific video cards and/or Windows 2000.
That was a great fucking game.
