REAL poll: What position do you have your console in?

Ok, since the last thread visibly failed, here's the real poll. What position do you have your consoles in? Does another position worry you about overheating?

My 360 is horizontal for the sole reason that putting it vertical blocks the single largest vent on the console. I also give it penty of room in its own compartment so that no heat from other electronics can exascerbate its heating issues.

Haven't had a problem yet. Not even a single freeze or crash.

Same as Professor S. I keep my Wii vertical on the stand, however.

I keep my 360 horizontal as well so as not to block the vent.


I have yet to have any problems though I have only had the console a few months.

Ok I think I'm gonna put my x360 horizontal now. I have it vertical normally and not sure if related but it caused issues.....twice.

The best advice is that you should use one position from day one and keep it that way.

I've had my 360 vertical the whole time and it's never caused problems.

However, I'm sure the PS3 and Wii are fine as interchangeable.

My Wii is horizontal although I've had it vertical before. But as of now, it's stacked horizontally on top of the cable box which is stacked on the DVD player.

My PS3 and 360 are both horizontal but at one point they were both vertical... the PS3 looks like ass when it's vertical and the 360 is in a spot now where it fits/looks best being horizontal.

When I had the Wii, it was always vertical. The Wii looks like straight up shit when it's horizontal and not on its base IMO.

I used to have my Wii vertical but now I have it horizontal. I had to change it when I bought Super Smash Bros because I couldnt get the gamecube controllers plugged in because they stuck out the top too much. I have had no problems either way.

So on a semi maybe related noted my 360 has started to freeze up in games. Mostly GTA as soon as I try to get into a car.

I have it vertically, but like Jason says, it sucks for using the Cube controller. But I'm going to play SSBB with the Wiimote+nunchuck anyway. If it ever comes out here.

The Wavebird never sold (m)any units in Europe. Instead of selling it for the price of normal controllers (and making those cheaper), they sold them for way more. I think a Wavebird controller cost €45, which is $65.

Just not worth it.

My PS3, 360 and Wii are all vertical. I just don't have room for them horizontally.

Both of my consoles are.. well vertical.

I have yet to figure out which is best for my 360 since either way seems to give me trouble.
