I was thinking, and I thought a London style environment would be great for the next GTA. It would give a european flair that the current series has never had and also create some great areas to explore and drive in and around the city.
Where do you think the next GTA should take place?

I was thinking that maybe Tokyo or someplace would be a welcome change.
It's probably going to be Las Fernandos or whatever. I remember before San Andreas there was rumours abound of "GTA: Sin City (Las Vegas)." And not to mention there's multiple references to it in GTA4. I don't know. It seems like natural progression.

Yea, Las Vegas make the most sense. Other cities that come to mind in America Include Chicago, St. Louis, Denver (with the ability to drive into the moutains and ski resorts, of course), or Pittsburgh.
I also think Mexico City could be good, or maybe Bejing.

First thing I thought about was Tokyo...I've only been there for two days, but from what I saw from it there was a lot of interesting things to look at, and it's very clean.
London would be fun as well...There are so many different looking and feeling sections to that city that if it was really well researched and mapped out it would be really amazing to explore...
I'd like a Philadelphia one at some point just because I could shoot up some friends' houses and shitty music venues that I know for the hell of it. Hah. Plus, with the way the murder rate is there, a few deaths here and there would be pretty realistic.

I would say London because it is the only city from the original games that hasn't been done.
Tokyo would be awesome, but maybe too foreign for people?
Vegas makes a lot of sense.
And the currently popular Africa. :p

What about a Grand Theft Auto set in the future? Like maybe 2050. Then they could use a current location like New York and just make it look futuristic.
Or maybe a GTA where you play as a corrupt cop.

That and I think it has excellent potential for storyline. Same with Japan, but I don't think an asian version would relate well enough with the predominantly western audience this game markets to. I'd love to play it, but I don't think it would sell as well aned I think Rockstar likely feels the same way.
And the currently popular Africa. :p
That would be an entirely different kind of game. Call it Grand Theft Country.

What about in Italy with a mafia story line?
